MM Camber Guage - experiences?14 Jun 2004 05:41 GMT9
It may be a bit late for this, however, I was intrigued with MM's new camber
gauge kit.  It is inexpensive ($60), portable, and offers accuracy to
1/8-deg., which is pretty impressive for portable mechanical gear.  It was
delivered today, however I haven't opened the box yet.
*@&*%&@&#* Dipstick Tube!!14 Jun 2004 05:25 GMT2
Working on my '66 289 (2v) engine (it's out of the car).  Went to
remove the disptick tube, and the sucker broke off at the bottom,
leaving part of it in the timing cover.  Any ideas (short of replacing
the cover) on how to get that stub out?

I have a 98 stock Cobra. Does anyone have any experience "chipping"? Will it
make a big difference? Which kind should I look into or avoid? Thanks in

Ping: Jim Warman re: MM alignment tool14 Jun 2004 01:18 GMT3
I finally finished it!  After zero'ing the alignment gauge using a shimmed
wall and a good T-square as a reference, a verified flat garage floor, and
knowing that it was already aligned to -0.50 deg. neg. camber, I was ready.
All went well until I discovered that the passenger side ...

69 Fastback body / paint done. Comments please.14 Jun 2004 00:16 GMT4
Hi all, some of you know that i am "restoring" my 69 FB. ( I inserted
quotation marks there because it's not going to be a concours restoration,as
not everything is original.)
Anyway, the body and paint has all been done, and some of the progress can be
Shocks/struts/springs '94 GT convertible13 Jun 2004 18:23 GMT5
A week or so ago I asked for recommendations for this. Both JD and Mad DAWG
suggested the FRPP M-5400 -A kit. I was curious about the springs in this
kit as all the suppliers show a different part number for the '94+
convertibles. I phoned FRPP and the tech essentially said that ...

Can my 84 be ECC-4 controlled?13 Jun 2004 07:07 GMT4
I'm about to undertake the restoration of an '84 5.0 GT vert and one of the
first things I plan on doing is putting in an after-market distributor and
ignition.  My question is: Do I have to worry about the engine sensors or an
ECC?  I'm almost positive it doesn't have any as there ...
Why nitrous?  Why not a liquid to ad to gas tank?13 Jun 2004 07:04 GMT8
Is there no additive they could develop to achieve a similar
effect to nitrous that could be added to the gasoline itself
as a liquid?  How about pure hydrogen peroxide?  :)

Buying car out of state13 Jun 2004 06:01 GMT18
I'm considering buying a Cobra in Oregon. OR has no sales tax, but I think I
have to pay tax here in CA.  Can somebody tell me how that would work?
Thank you.

Smaller supercharged engine verses larger non-supercharged engine13 Jun 2004 05:18 GMT18
Ok... the `04 Cobra Mustang (4.6 liter, supercharged) is rated at 390 hp @
6,000 rpm and 390 lb.-ft. torque @ 3,500 rpm.  The `05 Vette (6.0 liter,
non-supercharged) is rated at 400 hp @ 6,000 rpm and 4000 lb.-ft. of torque
at 4400 rpm.  These specs are almost identical except for ...
