Think your day was bad?11 Jul 2004 12:09 GMT5
I head to Costco this morning for an eye exam.  Just as I begin to round a
corner, 3 things happened that turned my hair much greyer in an instant:
1. The high pressure PS hose on the Beater decided to come apart, spraying
hot, stinky, slippery hydraulic fluid all over the ground ...
3.73 gears... quick question11 Jul 2004 06:58 GMT13
Should I buy a bearing kit as well? Gears are arriving *today* (attempted
delivery once already--I was sleeping). How risky is it to re-use old
bearings, etc?

mustang underhood insulation10 Jul 2004 18:51 GMT4
Can anybody tell me why ford special service mustang police units have
factory deleted underhood insulation blankets? I have a 90  5.0 5 spd
notchback and I am wondering if this would be a worthwhile modification.
HELP! overheating 3.810 Jul 2004 13:13 GMT9
I frequently read this group and feel that someone out there could help with
a problem I have with a 1990 T-bird. The car has the infamous 3.8, non
supercharged v6 and is overheating but does not have the telltale signs of
blown head gaskets. There's no water/coolant in the oil nor ...

1996 Mustang GT spark plugs10 Jul 2004 00:46 GMT2
Can some one tell me the correct plugs to use???
My manual says Motorcraft AWSF-32P on the right, and 32PG on the left. That's
whats in there now (why 2 different plugs?) I can't get these. The dealer says
32P for both sides @ $7 a pop! Ford online parts call out Motorcraft ...
Intake Manifold for 1985 GT......EGR or Non-EGR09 Jul 2004 16:56 GMT3
Well if you saw earlier in my posts, my intake gasket went.  I will be
replacing my intake with an Edelbrock Performer.  They have with EGR or
without EGR.  I put a new EGR last year for emission testing but now the car
will never have to go through emissions testing for the rest of ...

Guess you seem a bit confused by the LPG conversion bit of my sig file.
LPG Liquid Petroleum Gas, "Propane".
As to why, up till recently, the car was my daily driver. Seeing that the
cost of Petrol in England is around ?3.77 per gallon, at todays exchage rate

"decent" fluid... but I'd like to switch it to a full synthetic. Anybody

'92 mustang-What's it worth?09 Jul 2004 00:09 GMT1
I have a 1992 mustang convertible, GT 50. Approx.
130,000 miles.  I"m 57  yrs. old and the car has not
been mistreated (regular oil changes, maintenance, etc.)
Still seems to have as much spunk as ever.
A Mustang owner at last! (Was: Question re. a '99 SVT Cobra Conv)08 Jul 2004 20:56 GMT4
After 46 years on the planet, 39 1/2 of which were spent longing for a
Mustang I can finally type the words "the hunt is over." Yesterday my wife and
I purchased a one owner, 19K miles, 2001 Mineral Grey SVT Cobra Convertible.
The cars is so nice and sounds sooooooooo sweet ...
Broken Window Motor Help08 Jul 2004 16:38 GMT9
OK, so a couple days ago the driver's window motor in my Vic went
"pop" and ceased to move the glass. The motor itself still runs in both
directions. Being used to the old gear-drive setup, I assumed that I
had broken that.
'98 GT Convert Tire Replacement Question08 Jul 2004 12:10 GMT3
I have a 1998 4.6L GT Convertible (all stock) with about 50K miles on it.
Currently using low profile Goodyear Eagle HP Ultra Plus tires size 245/45Z
R17. The tires have been making a helluva racket and not too smooth of a
ride since I put the first 5K on them. The car sits ...
Is NoOp5L Now A Redneck Hick?08 Jul 2004 12:08 GMT12
I live for years in the much more liberal, progressive West Coast area
of the country listening to "Edge music" like Green Day and Sublime,
but now after only a couple years of living in the South in north
Florida I find myself digging music with a... dare I say it...
Difference between C4 and FMX??08 Jul 2004 07:31 GMT9
Any appreciable differences between these two trannies? I have an FMX in the
'69 that doesn't seem to have anything wrong with it, but I have a rebuilt
C4 with a TransGo shift kit that I know is ready to run.
I'm not sure whether it's worth yanking the FMX to put in the C4. The ...
