HELP: Opinion Needed21 Aug 2004 02:34 GMT9
Hi Group,
I am posting to this group because, as Mustang owners, I greatly value your
opinion.  I feel that everyone in this group is either knowledgeable about
automobiles or is a car enthusiast.  This is why I am asking for your

Every morning I start the car and go down a half mile long hill and

it dies at the stop sign and has to crank for 10 sec to start. If

What's the difference between sub-frame connectors and under rider
traction bars? Don't the go in the same place? If there is a
difference, which would be the better choice? This is for my 65 FB.
Thanks much....

More Supercar Madness > Chrysler's ME4-1220 Aug 2004 01:47 GMT10
Remember back in the 70's when we thought that emission controls were
forever going to choke the life out all future vehicles.  Boy, were we
ever wrong, huh?
How 'bout 850 HP & 850 ft-lbs of torque?
OT: problem with floor jack19 Aug 2004 22:35 GMT3
I have a 3.5 ton floor jack that I think was like $99.  It's about 5
years old.  It worked great when I first got it, but within a year, it
had gotten where I can no longer smoothly lower the jack when it has a
load on it.  (I can still lower it smoothly if it has no load.)  If I
86 5.0 ho rusted front frame rails... what to do?19 Aug 2004 19:11 GMT7
First off, I'm only posting for my neighbor, I know *nothing* about
cars. I'm watching him having fun and learning a little in the process.
That said, he picked up an 86 5.0 HO Mustang for < USD$300. It's not in
bad shape considering it sat in a field for 10 years.
insulating speakers...19 Aug 2004 03:31 GMT14
I recently upgraded to a Pioner DEH-P3500 head unit with Pioneer 6880R
speakers in the doors and Pioneer 6870R's on the rear deck. I'm
noticing a hum/buzz from the rear speakers at certain low frequencies.
I'm pretty sure I did not blow them. I'm suspecting it's the metal

Thought the new 5.7 liter 340 HP Hemi was a hot?  Welp, that ain't
nothing!  After months of rumors, the new 6.1-liter four hundred
twenty five (that's 425!) _NET_ horsepower is set to make its debut in
the new Chrysler 300C SRT-8.  Read on...
Suspension: Question for you Experts?19 Aug 2004 00:55 GMT10
I have a '03 GT convertible. I'm happy with it (at least until I buy an
svt when the new ones are available in a couple of years), but I'd like
to make a couple of improvements that aren't going to get me into
warranty trouble.
302 Vavletrain adjustment.18 Aug 2004 22:52 GMT3
On the stock hydraulic roller lifters with adjustable rockers and
guide plates in the 302 how is the valve lash set?  I have read that
you tighten the rocker until the pushrod does not turn by finger and
then go 3/4 of a turn past this.  I am installing new lifters and
Tire Selection18 Aug 2004 22:31 GMT12
It's time for tires on my Cobra project.  This car weighs in at
2200# or so.  Engine should be makeing 500-550hp.  Tremec TKO, 4.10 IRS.
So I need a really sticky tire to try and plant some of that power to
the pavement.
