Determining rear end gear ratio.15 Aug 2004 00:52 GMT3
The rear end gears in my '64 1/2 are far too high ratio for my taste.
The engine's revving higher than I am comfortable with at as little as
50 mph.  My father put the gears in originally and I remember quite
clearly him saying that they were 4.11's.  That would seem about right
Problem engaging convertible top motor14 Aug 2004 12:12 GMT5
I am having problems getting the motor for my convertable top to engage both
to raise and lower the top.  Sometimes, I have to hit the button constantly
for several minutes for the motor to engage.  Once engaged, it seems to has
no problems so I tend to doubt the motor is out.
Help needed on J-hook for 92 vert14 Aug 2004 05:59 GMT3
I have a 92 GT convertible and I would like to screw down further the
two J-hooks that hold the convertible top in the front.  There seems to
be a set screw of some kind that needs to be loosened in order to screw
in the J-hook.  What tool do I use to loosen this set screw?
OT: waiting for Charlie.14 Aug 2004 01:11 GMT10
That's it, my jobs for the next 3 days have been postponed due to
Hurricane Charlie's intended visit to the Tampa Bay area. So Pony s
safely tucked in the garage and I'm awaiting tomorrow mornings forecasts
to see what damage he did (if any) to the keys. If it looks bad, guess I
Rim size 05 Mustang?14 Aug 2004 00:15 GMT1
I have a '99 mustang and would like to buy chrome bullit rims for it.  In
the future I would like to get a new 05 GT.  I would like to know if I buy
the rims now if they are gonna fit the new model.  I don't want to spend the
cash unless they will fit on the new car.  Anybody know ...

This is the big chrome part that screws onto the upper right
corner of the windshield and has the indentation to catch
Clutch Pedal Spring13 Aug 2004 22:50 GMT1
I'm converting a 69 351W from AT to 4 speed. Everything's going well
except I need the large big spring that goes at the top of pedal
assembly. I've looked everywhere and all I can find is the spring that
hooks to the clutch fork itself and the equalizer bar. I also can find

Friday the 13th13 Aug 2004 22:24 GMT4
Going on vacation tomorrow. Wanted to take CFrog to upstate New York, but
it's recently developed a rather spongey brake pedal. Today I'm told that
it's not the pads, not the master cylinder, but a leaking part which is
discontinued and unavailable at the dealership. (I'll know more ...
Brakes13 Aug 2004 21:51 GMT2
I haven't posted in a while 'cause really not much Mustang stuff going on...the
'89 351 based car is still going strong and absolutely slayed the
emission tests once again! :)  The last couple of months have been very
different for Mustang activity though!

All Season Tires, Ice & Snow13 Aug 2004 02:02 GMT1
My 2002 Mustang GT came with Eagle ZR45's (245/45ZR17).  They have 30k+ on
them now and due to be replaced.  The ZR45's worked quite well except for
ice.  In Kansas we do occasionally get some icy roads come winter.  I don't
need the lecture on the Mustang not being a 4x4.  I ...
