351W12 Sep 2004 12:25 GMT5
I'm looking at a 351windsor engine out of a 1987 pickup it has 220,000 miles
on it. I would like to put this in my 67' fastback with a complete rebuilt
of course. Is there anything I should be looking at before I buy the engine?
Is it worth putting Hi performance parts on?
5.0 upgrade12 Sep 2004 05:22 GMT18
ok here is my story, I test drove a 2004 SVT cobra the other day, and I was
so impressed with the car in general that I wanted to buy it, but my wife
(my sweetheart) will not let me. She says I can upgrade my 91 LX and that I
already have a mustang. The problem is I have no idea how ...
fuel mileage and long distance trip experience with 2003 GT vert12 Sep 2004 02:38 GMT12
I just did some extensive MPG testing on my `03 GT 4.6 vert auto (bone stock
with about 10k miles on the odo) and just thought I'd share it.  I recently
went on a 4,700 mile trip and carefully measured the mpg during the entire
trip.  Air conditioner was never used, top was down ...
New Mustang Owner12 Sep 2004 00:00 GMT1
Hello all......................
The wife picked up an '03 Mustang yesterday. (our first).
I was looking for a site to look up Ford's VIN number breakdown and can't
seem to find anything that doesn't want tocharge me.
Low coolant light on?constantly11 Sep 2004 17:56 GMT5
My low coolant light goes on about one minute after starting the car.
It almost does it when it comes to idle. Anyway I topped up the rad
over flow to the proper line and checked the rad level, still on.  I
drive a bit check the level still the same, lights still on. I get
89 5.0 AOD upgrades11 Sep 2004 17:17 GMT2
I know this subject has been beaten to death but perhaps the experts here
could help me understand my options.
Car is 89 5.0 LX vert with AOD. Stock engine, Griggs suspension mods and
3.73 gears. I am happy with torque and power 0-80mph (enough that I can't
TFrog, Day Seven11 Sep 2004 17:01 GMT7
Picked her up at the shop, and all was well. I had heat, I had air
conditioning, and the instrument pod was firmly reattached. The staff was
falling all over themselves with apology and humility - always a good thing
to see.
Subframe connectors11 Sep 2004 16:59 GMT24
Steeda alloy subframe connectors. I won't be affording the GT bullit
suspension anytime soon (heck, I may just be happy with new springs, shocks,
struts, whatever).
There is a very noticeable difference in handling... and I can't feel
331 Stroker Kit question 11 Sep 2004 15:18 GMT6
Hi guys and Kate
Well I finally found out what the THUNKING was in my car, looks
like it's a crank bearing....(according to my brothers mechanic)....so that
means taking the engine out...so since I am there I was thinking of a

"Classic '60's muscle cars - souped up Mustangs, Barracudas, and such

Windsor distributor in Cleveland??11 Sep 2004 09:25 GMT4
I got my '70 Sportsroof back from my engine builder today complete with a
freshly rebuilt engine and with the ignition upgraded to MSD. In the car was
the box from the Pro Billet distributor which I was about to bin, when I
glanced at the application sticker - it reads 351W!!
Rear main seal11 Sep 2004 03:39 GMT3
Apparently my rear main seal has given up.  Anyone done there own
replacement on a '93 5.0?  Looks fairly straight foward but a lot of
time that I don't have.
What do you think....farm it out or do it myself?  I am reasonably
Mustang Headrest 1979-199311 Sep 2004 01:58 GMT1
I might be crazy to ask this, but how do you remove a single post Headrest
of a early nineties Mustang without tearing up the seat?  I am having a
hard time doing so.
Thanks in advanced.
Stock 'Stang ETs10 Sep 2004 19:13 GMT6
I used to know this but can't remember.  What should a stock '93 LX 5.0
run in a quarter?  Oh...automatic (AOD)
TFrog, Day Six10 Sep 2004 16:03 GMT14
Dropped TFrog ('93 LX 5.0) off at the local Ford dealer a week ago Monday
for some major surgery. Heater core replacement, A/C switchover and
recharge, fix the malfunctioning vent controls, and an electrical problem
which blew out my instrument cluster whenever I engaged the ...
