supercharged.
They need the c++ code from Ford and are going to have cosworth do the
Here's a Q I've never seen11 Oct 2004 09:46 GMT10
In my '67, when you rev the engine fast, and take your foot off fast, the
engine drops down fast back to idle.  Yet, do that in my 5.0, and it will go
up fast, and then stick and hold at about 1,500RPM on the way down, and then
gently ease back down to 850RPM idle...  Why is ...

I have an 86 GT that has been converted to a Mass Air System.  I have a
couple of driveability questions I hope someone can help with.
1. At an idle while in drive and fully warmed up, the idle speed fluctuates
quite a bit.  Any suggestions?
Break it in??11 Oct 2004 01:39 GMT9
I just bought an 04 GT the other day from a dealership. Because it's a brand
new engine I'm not sure if I should baby it for awhile till it breaks in. Is
there a break in period? or can I just drive it as if the engine was a year
old?

'96 Mustang GT starts randomly10 Oct 2004 19:28 GMT7
I've read over a lot of the posts about the Mustang 96/97 generation

Ford GT, 4 mpg??10 Oct 2004 04:08 GMT19
When driven flat out that is what it gets.  I can't help thinking
that a Cobra boosted to 550hp driven flat out would get
better mileage.  I wonder how the GT consumes that much
gasoline?  BTW;  That's GT and not the wrong name for

Buried in another thread there were some linked photos of the car.
I went and drove it for the first time, on its 455 maiden voyage(s) today.
I don't have it home as my 850 dp requires some more tuning.  It ran really
strong with my friend's 1000HP carb.  You'll see pictures of both ...
