I have a 1965 6cyl 200cu inch 3 speed. I've been thinking about replacing the points with an electronic ignition. Maybe this is a topic that has been discussed to death on this newsgroup but I could not find anything about it on the messages I was able to access.

| PATS | 26 Oct 2004 16:44 GMT | 13 |
How effective is the PATS system as an anti-theft device? Do thieves have a way to get around this? I am paranoid about my GT getting stolen and would like to know if this really works well, or if it's just a bunch of hype Ford uses to relax their customers?

What octane rating should I use for my stock 04 GT? Does a higher octane(94.0 at Sunoco) make a worth while difference? I heard that octane ratings higher than regular gas could cause problems for late model vehicles. Is this true? I'm currently using a mid grade gas.

| What are you hearing from the dealers? | 26 Oct 2004 03:51 GMT | 1 |
One tells me Ford is not allowing special orders on the 2005 Mustang, and another tells me special orders are no problem and the car will show up 4 to 8 weeks after ordering. Two others gave me the "oh, the going markup is 5K to 10K over MSRP!"

Bought one of the first ones in the Memphis area. Torchred paint and all the extras. Rides like a dream. Even had the cops pull me over just to look at it. The only problem I have with it a clicking noise is coming from the engine. Taking it to the dealer and see whast the say.

| The Future Of High Performance? | 25 Oct 2004 11:42 GMT | 12 |
SVT's John Colletti was recently quoted as saying future SVT products would focus on weight reduction instead on increased horsepower to gain better performance. And now it seems Audi is talking the same talk. Will future high-performance Mustangs see their horsepower
