Need Help locating a CD/radio for 97 Mustang07 Nov 2004 07:20 GMT4
OK, here's my delima.  I've been lucky in he past at locating things on
the net or around the nieghborhoods.  Now, my father-in-law wants to replace
his stereo with a stock factory original CD player for his 97 Mustang
convertible.  I have looked all over the net and found ...

I need some help in wiring up a new 3G alternator. I've read several
articles, but to no avail in my particular situation. The problems I have
are thyis:
On my old 75amp, I have the plug for the alternator output wires (the 2
Best converter for AOD06 Nov 2004 22:58 GMT3
Looking for opinions on an upgrade to the stock AOD torque converter for a 5.0
of about 300hp.  I want to maintain the lockup feature, (which limits choices
somewhat) and would like a stall speed in the range of 2500 to 2700 rpm.  All
the manufacturers claim to make the best ...
PING - STuK06 Nov 2004 22:40 GMT10
Stu,
If you're interested, I'm finishing up the discussion we had a while
back about oscillating voltage in my Tempo, only b/c it's similar to the
4-cyl Mustangs...
Is older Mustang (late 60s, early 70s) easier to maintain than current cars?06 Nov 2004 21:54 GMT11
Are older cars (like the 1968-1970 Mustang, or the older Camaros) easier to
maintain since they didn't have as much electrical stuff as cars do now?
Since they're American, are the parts also cheaper? I just love the look of
those older cars but , due to my limited budget, I'll ...
New GT engine - details?06 Nov 2004 20:46 GMT8
I see the engine is a 3-valve chain-driven SOHC with variable valve timing,
but I'm curious about the 3V setup.  Is it 2 intake & 1 exhaust?  If so,
do both intake valves work full-time, or is it 1&1 up to some cut-over
RPM when the other intake opens?  And, what are the valve ...
Here's A Snake With Lethal Bite!06 Nov 2004 07:52 GMT8
For a "factory special" this is one lethal snake!  In fact, maybe Ford
should have peeled the Cobra badges off and replaced them with some
Inland Taipan badges.

I sat in a 2005, and now my wife and I are fighting.06 Nov 2004 07:24 GMT14
I expected to be disappointed.  I wasn't.
They had a silver GT with the red seats on prominent display at Burge
Ford in Santa Monica.  I sat in that one first and, to be honest, it
felt silly. Just overkill.  But out on the lot they had a regular V6,
Power mirrors not responding to switch commands.06 Nov 2004 07:20 GMT7
Hello amigos,
Is it possible that the switch is in bad shape or the mirrors
themselves? Is there a way to test them to make sure what part has the
problem? I can adjust the mirrors manually but they won't move exactly

Will the 2005 Mustang be available as a convertible?

Question about engine stand parts06 Nov 2004 04:00 GMT9
 Greetings all,
I was recently asked to create a CAD program to plasma cut some pieces out
of 3/8" steel for a local company.  I was told that they would allow a flat
head V8, via the exhaust manifold bolt holes, to be placed on an engine
94 Cobra no start06 Nov 2004 02:50 GMT8
It started gradually, every so often, it would crank but not fire.  I
would run the battery down, as soon as I jump started it, it would fire
right up.  Now it will not start at all.  I got a new battery after
killing the last one.
