Good thing I got the warranty!!15 Nov 2004 17:05 GMT12
Well, I brought my car in cause it was grinding third.  The transmission
is being rebuilt and they fixed the check engine light.  I'm so happy I
bought the warranty for it.  It sucks though that I haven't even made
the first payment and its already broke.  Hopefully it isn't a ...
351/T5 '65 Mustang lives!15 Nov 2004 16:58 GMT5
After one fiasco followed by another...four starters (re-built), two
thermostats, another radiator (now 4-row) and a weird ignition wiring discovery
(previous owner's radio wiring, I'm not sure I can ever explain it) the car is
up and running.  Following cam break-in and timing set ...

I realize this FSB balance issues have been asked and answered here
before but I have an additional couple questions.
I recently bought a vehicle which has a '86 5.0L Mustang engine which
vibrated when it ran. I noticed the ring on the harmonic damper was

New '05 Mustangs/Cheap Warranty!??15 Nov 2004 03:26 GMT17
The US warranty really sucks, imho. 3yr/36k mile basic & powertrain and 60
months corrosion!??
A 2yr lease would be the ticket... if it was available.
The new mustang doesn't amount to much with such a cheap warranty.
2005 Mustang GT specs15 Nov 2004 03:20 GMT7
What's the displacement? Still a SOHC motor? HP @ RPM? TQ @ RPM? Weight?
Suspension? Anything? I'm curious. Thanks!

Yet another 2005 Mustang question15 Nov 2004 03:19 GMT4
I know that the discussion of 2005 Mustangs is getting very worn out & FAST,
but I have a question for you guys... how long do you think they'll keep
this body style? 94-98, 99-04, 05-??.

2005 Mustang... jeez15 Nov 2004 03:16 GMT21
I hated that damn thing when I saw pics... then I saw the real deal & I
hated it even more. But the more I look at it... the more I like it.
However, that interior is going to take a while to grow on me. That is
*hideous* I think. Exterior is starting to look good though...

Trying to do my own coolant flush...key word 'trying' :)
Need some advice on the steps needed.  I can drain the radiator fine,
no issues here.  (95 Mustang GT\59k)  Amazingly I can find great
how-to articles on engine swaps but it is hard to find a coolant flush

88 Mustang LX 2.3L acting strange14 Nov 2004 21:02 GMT17
I'm hoping someone can help me out here.  I just purchased a
1988 Mustang LX convertible w/ 2.3L 4 banger.  The car seems to be in
pretty good shape for the year that it is.  It has 116,000 miles on
it.  My problem start when you first crank it up. It idles like crap
Cleaning EGR system 14 Nov 2004 20:45 GMT1
My 1986 5.0 failed smog test No Surprise here as I had just recently failed

shop and paid the $300. I took the 5.0 to the same shop and had it checked.

67 GTA14 Nov 2004 16:53 GMT4
I am looking at a 67 GTA coupe.  However, the vin number is 7R01Cxxxxxx.
From what I understand is that all 67 GTAs should have an "A" in the 5th
position of the vin.  Is this correct?  I am suspecting that this is a GTA
clone and a factory GTA.
