05 Mustang GT mirror crash and burn10 Feb 2005 23:16 GMT10
I've backed cars a million times into my garage but the new Mustang GT has
been a challenge.  I think it's wider than my '04. Anyhow, I check the
mirrors on both sides to gauge placement, start backing in, then give it a
bit too much gas.  The passenger side mirror clips the edge ...
one more - paint chip repair10 Feb 2005 20:38 GMT17
So don't ask me how, but I've developed a few chips in my paint. I'd guess
little rocks, but theres one on the roof too, dunno where they came from,
the car is wiped down weekly, and waxed several times a year, so I dunno how
it chips when its this babied. Anyway, the chips are ...
460 question10 Feb 2005 19:56 GMT1
I'm planning on putting a mild 460 in my '70 mustang. I'm going to start
with a rebuilt wrecking yard motor. What are the best stock heads for
performance that I should look for. I'd buy aluminum aftermarket heads but
I'm on a budget.
91 5.0 running cold and hot10 Feb 2005 14:39 GMT10
My 91 5.0 has been running cold this whole winter. So I replaced the
water pump because I knew it was starting to fail. (Water had to
started to leek from the weep hole a couple months early, but then
stopped and never did it again.) The water pump seemed to make no
'65 fastback and engine size10 Feb 2005 08:34 GMT25
So I've been working on rebuilding a '65 fastback for the last three years.
Haven't gotten that far yet, but I finally have the money and time to really
get into it.
Anyway, I was just thinking, just how big an engine can I cram in to the

I know this isn't a mustang, but you folks know alot of parts interchange.
Parting out 88 t-bird turbo coupe, 5 sp, 8.8 disc brake rear. Taking offers

Wanted: Shift knob10 Feb 2005 03:38 GMT4
I'm looking for a plain black round knob (5-speed pattern would be OK)
that's smaller than the larger Hurst-style knobs.  I'm for something about
1.5 inches in diameter.
I've found countless variations with flat tops and some kind of logo.  I
Need Part Number09 Feb 2005 12:59 GMT4
I need a part number for the little restrictor thingy that you are supposed
to use when replacing a heater core in the 87-93 Mustangs.
Anyone?

The perfect road!09 Feb 2005 04:55 GMT66
Well, near perfect anyway.
Virtually untraveled 2 lane highway with lots of curves, and a few
straight stretches.
With my car I get a little extra push at about 2700rpm, and in 3rd gear
Tire Recommendation for '00 GT Vert09 Feb 2005 01:36 GMT18
I have a 2000 GT Vert and I'm looking into replacing my current tires with a
less expensive set.  I can't afford to pay 200-250 per tire, I'd like to be
around 90-120 range.  Any thoughts?
My local tire dealer here recommended Fulda Extremos, Falken Ziex-502 and

PC-based monitor/programmer?08 Feb 2005 15:54 GMT15
Ok, so I'm on a posting kick tonight, but I got my new bumper installed
today so the mustang is back to being my favorite money hole.
Anyway, I remember researching a while back ODB-II readers and programmers
that worked with a PC instead of a handheld. Something I could plug in ...
