Fox is gone17 May 2005 18:36 GMT5
Well guess I'm going into almost permanent lurk mode, Last week I traded the
ole fox wagon in on Jeep number two (yes I'm a sucker for punishment),
Anyways thanks to all you from the past 5 years who answered my sometimes
real stupid questions, perhaps one day in the future I'll ...
Need help with trunk rattling after adding a stereo.17 May 2005 18:33 GMT2
I have a '99 GT and am having problems with rattles in the trunk when I have
my bass up.
I have tightened bolts, and traced the rattling to a 'boot' piece on the
right side of trunk behind the trunk liner. This piece has 'vent' flaps in

First time installing a new water pump on a new long block.
Got a crate 302 that needs a water pump. I have the correct pump for my
application (Edelbrock reverse rotation of 5.0 serpentine). It comes with a
new gasket and a new backing plate.
Using a GM 700-R417 May 2005 04:30 GMT4
Several years ago I read an article in MM&FF of someone installing a GM
700-R4 in a fox bodied Mustang.  Does anyone remember the provider of the
adapter plate for this conversion or have a copy of the article?  As I
recall this swap was supposedly a step up from using the AOD or ...

'05.. weird puff sound?16 May 2005 23:56 GMT1
Ok, so just got back from a weeklong trip, and took the mustang out again.
Had the window rolled down, and noticed a strange sound every few seconds
(in every gear, at fast and slow speeds).
It sounds like its coming from inside the drivers side wheel well, behind
Date Codes16 May 2005 23:36 GMT4
I have a 66 "C" code hardtop that I'm putting a four barrel onto. Though the
car calls for a two barrel, I want to keep the numbers and date codes on the
new parts correct. By the way, the car was made in San Jose, so it has the
Termactor system on it. I have found a '66 manifold ...

MAC upper/lower control arms16 May 2005 16:19 GMT1
All,  Finally pulled this off of the back burner of 'things to do'.
Problem was a case of rear steer...one way under accel, the other under
decel.  I pulled the arm out and of the six pairs of bushings there was
only one complete pair left (upper, right).  All of the others had

Hi gang,
Been a while since I posted anything here, but I have a problem that I cannot seem to figure out yet.  I have an 84 GT and after about 15 minutes or so, I hear a knocking coming from the engine.  It is not the lifters, this is a deep thud sound.  If I ...

PING - Jim Warman15 May 2005 19:04 GMT5
Is there a life cycle for injectors that needs to be considered or do they
just need to be cleaned (injector flush)? I imagine that a fluid (gas)
carries microscopic abrasives but can see that the wear is such that only
after a million miles one would need to think about replacement ...
