Replacing a drive pinion oil seal31 Aug 2005 15:52 GMT1
I have a 1972 Ford Mustang with a 3.25 traction-loc differential, 9".
I need to replace my drive pinion oil seal on the differential because
it's leaking.  The Ford book says to use Tool 4851-k to hold the flange
when removing the pinion nut.  Where can I get this tool or is there

I have a '67 mustang coupe for sale.  Needs restoration, 289, C4, Bench

Lime green color.  This car does need work but is very restorable.
Harmonic Balancer31 Aug 2005 06:59 GMT6
What exactly are the symptoms of the balancer going "south"?  What does one

problem normally encountered in a 11 years old GT?

I'm driving my dad's Mustang and noticed something.  From a stop, if
you romp on the throttle (say, 75% or more throttle angle), when the
trans does a 1-2 shift there's a loud "SCREEE!" and the definite feel
of trans slippage.

Can anyone point me to a maker or supplier of new ring and pinion gear sets
for a Ford 8-inch axle in a ratio range somewhere between about 2.56 and
2.93?
I know Ford made 2.79, because my 67 Coupe came with that ratio, but I
Big Music Angry at Apple, iTunes31 Aug 2005 02:30 GMT4
Two and a half years after the music business lined up behind the chief
executive of Apple, Steven P. Jobs, and hailed him and his iTunes music
service for breathing life into music sales, the industry's allegiance
to Mr. Jobs has eroded sharply.

It looks like the plastic was molded to the metal sprocket.  ...
