I have a 91 5.0 with a t-5 in a 66 coupe.  I am not having this problem
all the time but it is more frequent now. It seems to be effected by
the cold some how because it did this last winter, summer was fine, and
now its happening again.

Driving to work on the freeway this morning the Mustang, when out of
nowhere comes this... thing. Looked like a two foot square piece of
dirty aluminum foil, maybe a heat shield or something dropped off some
old junker. It hit the front driver's side corner and went... who knows

Very satisfying.
There's a spot, on my drive back to work, where the highway goes from two
lanes to four. As we approach that spot, traffic slows a bit and gets a
little heavier.

1986 GT AOD shift skips from 2nd to OD17 Sep 2005 03:18 GMT7
I have a 1986 Mustang GT with an AOD that will skip gears if I'm too
easy on the throttle.  If I use WOT it will shift 1 - 2 and than bog
down by skipping to Over Drive. Usually happens after the car is warmed
up. I would appreciate any one's imput as to why this is happening.

1 have a 67 stang the exterior color code is "N" according to the 67 ford
shop manual this was not an available color. according to the ford master
parts catalog code "N" is platinum except for bronco. The 68 ford shop
manual and the various i.d. decoder books list this color as ...

I have a 1966 mustang 3 speed straight 6.  If you rev. it high it will run
fine but as soon as you push the clutch in to shift gears or stop  it won't
idle.  My experience with working on cars is very limited.  I was going to
try and change out the Carb.  but it has no identifying ...
