Coolant Leak, Maybe Cracked Manifold?06 Sep 2005 02:17 GMT6
I have a '97 GT 4.6, 49,000 mi with an annoying coolant leak. Annoying

of any leaks but yet I hafta add coolant about once a week. I can smell
coolant with the engine running but don't see anything even remotely

surprise,  happened in the late 70's.  You see... growing up I was a
"Mopar, or no car" guy and never really cared for Mustangs.  I was into
Chargers, Darts and Demons.  As for pony cars, though I hated seeing

Clock compatibility - 71 Mustang?04 Sep 2005 22:58 GMT2
The clock in my 71 Grande has died.  I've got my eye on, but can't check
closely, a NOS clock for full-size '71 Fords.  Does anyone know if the
internals are compatible between the two?

Haven't had a mustang since 1985 and it was a 68, 289, 4-speed.
Had a 85 Bronco and a 93 T-Bird since 89. Traded the t-bird for the 99 Stang
and slowly putting things into it and loving it.
rust areas on 83 mustang/how is the 3.8 V604 Sep 2005 19:56 GMT1
Hi - I am checking into buying an 83 convert - I am wondering what
parts of the chassis are most susceptible to rust particularly on the
chassis and floors - I took a quick look under it and there is a fair
amount of rust on the rear frame rails and the the rear bumper supports

With gasoline prices surging across the nation in the wake of Hurricane
Katrina's path of destruction in the Gulf of Mexico, the cost of
running a car appears to be heading for what some auto experts say is a
tipping point for American drivers.

Ford's latest concept for the Frankfurt show is the striking Iosis, a
vehicle that the company says predicts its future "kinetic" design

NEW YORK - Consumers can expect retail gas prices to rise to $4 a
gallon soon, but whether they stay there depends on the long-term
damage to oil facilities from Hurricane Katrina, oil and gas analysts
said Wednesday.
