What's your brake pad preference?31 Jan 2006 03:46 GMT5
Time for some new front pads...Raybestos or Hawk?
Never tried the Hawk pads, heard good things about them.
Probably going to try them, so the more pertinent question is:
Ceramic or semi-metallic?
Out of step...31 Jan 2006 02:48 GMT40
Bless me, Mother, for I have sinned. It's been 12 years since I last even
SAT in a new Mustang.
Yes, it occurs to me that this is true - I haven't been inside a Mustang
newer than 1993.
power steering pump question?29 Jan 2006 23:24 GMT1
I just rebuilt the front end on my 70 mustang, all new parts including
steering components. When driving the steering feels a little
tight......like there's no power steering. How do you check the pump
for psi reading?

I sold my '66 HCS today. Now I've got room in the garage to get some work
done on the '69. Just need to update my sigline now.

1968 Coupe - making huge headway!29 Jan 2006 00:08 GMT12
Howdy All -
It's been a while since I posted, my new job keeps me traveling a lot.
You may or may not remember me - I have a '68 coupe that I have been
working on for several months.  Today I went to the shop and checked it
Hello all! How I miss my Mustang!28 Jan 2006 18:41 GMT22
Hey everyone, it's been a long time since I been to this newsgroup!
I used to be the proud owner of  1993 black gt with 3.73 gears and a A-Trim
Vortec :-).  That was my baby for so many years until grandma crushed it and
it was totalled.  It has about 95k original miles on it and ...
1966 Mustang Convertable, 289 Ponie Series with Factory Air28 Jan 2006 14:09 GMT10
I know there were only a few of these made and i have one. Does anyone know
what the factory colors were for this model. I am totally restoring and
want to go with a pearl white exterior (including dash and steering
column)with a tan top and tan interior. Is this a taboo if it isn't ...
motor mounts28 Jan 2006 07:54 GMT1
I am needing new motor mounts for a 93 LX coupe w/2.3 and auto.  Autozone
lists the left only.  Ford has 'em listed at about 120.00 each.  Does anyone
have an alternate source.... I can find all sorts of 5.0 mounts, 2.3's seem
to be scarce.
Tirerack.com28 Jan 2006 01:52 GMT1
I've seen their ads, anywhere from 4- to 8-page spreads, but never thought
to actually give them a try. I don't know what possessed me this time...
I like the BF Goodrich KDWS tires. My last set had a pretty good life, but
the fronts, especially, had worn badly. Good. Time for new ...
"In other words, we don't have a clue..."28 Jan 2006 01:48 GMT1
I love it.  Ethanol use "might" reduce greenhouse gasses by 10-15%.  If
you believe those gasses matter, that is.  Cellulose solution costs a
GREAT DEAL more than corn or oil, but lets do it anyway.
Sweden is doing it.  What does a litre of fuel cost in Sweden?  About
power steering27 Jan 2006 21:12 GMT4
I have been reading this group for about a year and I find it informative
and intertaining. I am restoring a 1965 convt. and need some help on the
power steering.  When I got the mustang home, it was missing the the belt on
the power steering.  I put a belt on and added fluid to ...
2000 Mustang Coupe27 Jan 2006 20:50 GMT5
I just got this car from her original owner last week. But today, when
I tried to open the door with the key (instead of the key fob), it
didn't work. The weird thing is, I could open the trunk and start the
engine with this key, but just couldn't open the door with it.
Closest match to Grabber Orange27 Jan 2006 20:42 GMT5
I'm in the process of restoring a 70 Mach 1 and want to spray it
Grabber Orange.  Does anyone know of a modern paint code that is a
close match?  What are your opinion on metallic paint on vintage
Mustangs?
Brake Failure27 Jan 2006 13:22 GMT7
Coming home from work Monday night my brakes quite working on my 66
stang. The pedal feels like it hits the floor but probaly is just
maxing out its stroke. The stang has manual brakes, granada front
disc's and stock rear drums. The first pump goes straight down with no
Towing a Pony26 Jan 2006 05:09 GMT4
I'm in the AF and will be transferring to Missouri soon.  "Problem" is, I
have 4 vehicles and 3 drivers--my Pony spends most of it's time in the
garage, my son drives his Mustang everyday and my wife and I operate the
other 2 vehicles regularly.  All 4 vehicles are rear wheel ...
