I just got a Mustang today. It has the 3.8 with surpentine belts. It is in amazing condition, first time its been started in over two years and after a few minutes smoothed right out except the surpentine started making noise.

I have a 2000 GT and the plastic lens that the headlights shine through have become scratched over time. Mostly thru road grit, I assume. Is there a better than stock unit that won't become scratched or at least last longer?

Lately my check engine light has been coming on for short periods. It comes on, then goes away, then comes on again. Otherwise the car runs fine. What could it be? I suppose I should see if any codes are being reported.
