Idling problem20 May 2006 11:51 GMT6
2 months ago I bought a used 99 mustang 3.8L V6 with only 72K miles...
I recently gave the car a tune-up and found out the following:
Old spark plug gapping: @ .072
New spark plug gapping: @ .054
New Wheels20 May 2006 08:50 GMT3
I've decicded to get new wheels for my '98 convertible cobra (black) and
was wondering if I should get the original silver or polished ones. As my
car came with aftermarket wheels that I don't really care for and the chrome
is coming off, it's time to get new ones. Any opinions. ...
Back from the Old West20 May 2006 01:19 GMT14
Yep. My trip to Arizona went smoothly, and I'm very glad I went.
Flew out Thursday and picked up a silver Mustang convertible with less than
3,500 on the clock. A six-cylinder with automatic, but a real treat. Likes
and dislikes are on the new page (along with - yes, Kate - a few ...
67 Fastback Shorty Headers19 May 2006 23:15 GMT2
I have a 67 fastback with a 289, manual steering, manual tranny and I
can't find anyone besides JBA that says they have a shorty hearder to
fit this car. Now, from what I can see there seems to be plenty of
room. Has anyone ran a late-model 5.0 shorty hearder on these cars like
67 Mustang19 May 2006 23:08 GMT8
We have a 67 Mustang in need of a rear end. Will a rear end from a 74
Maverick bolt up to the 67? Please help.

Retro ride question19 May 2006 16:00 GMT5
With all the retro rides coming out Ford will be re-introducing many good
old names to compete against the Charger and Camaro like the California
Special, Shelby, Mach I, and Boss for instance. My question is how many of
you would like to see the Cougar come back on the Mustang ...

New Muscle.....What impresses you19 May 2006 02:52 GMT8
I tried a new 6 litre Corvette and was not impressed. The ride was
rough and it had the 6 speed paddle shifting automatic. Possibly a
stick would have been more to my liking.
I guess I'll be hanging onto my SVT Cobra for a while yet.
TECH: Increasing CR on 73 351C19 May 2006 01:30 GMT19
Hi. What is the best way to increase the compression ratio in my 73 Q
code? Is new pistons the best / only way to go? Any recommendations?
Check Engine Light18 May 2006 17:05 GMT10
I have a 96 mustang gt 4.6 automatic. The check engine light comes on
for a while and then it goes off for a while, this has been going on
for the last 4-5 years. I take it for a smog check when the light is
not on at it passes everytime. My question is, my car started running

A test drive in the next Camaro!17 May 2006 22:36 GMT3
The sky is a menacing slate gray, but so far, the rain has held off.
I've seldom been so interested in the weather, but this morning, even
the slightest sprinkle will abort the opportunity that led me to buck
morning rush hour to get to the General Motors Proving Ground at this
Which tuner to get for a 2006 Mustang GT17 May 2006 15:35 GMT1
I realize I'm going to get across the board answers, but after reading
all these web postings I have to admit I'm clueless. I'm still riding
stock everything in my '06 GT, but figure everything I'd ever add
going forward will require some level of tuning.
Won't start...but turns17 May 2006 13:52 GMT8
My kid's '79 gave us a new problem yesterday. It wouldn't start in the
morning, classic slow-turnover-looks-like-the-battery-is-dead symptoms.
We charged it all day, and even jumped it from my car, and no go. I
wasn't able to measure the battery voltage during crank...I'll get that
Ping NoOp Patrick -- 50 Fastest Shootout17 May 2006 02:37 GMT9
Hi Patrick.
Did you see the mention in the latest Hemmings Muscle Machines about
the Buickhorsepower.com effort to assemble as many cars as possible
from the 1984 "50 Fastest Muscle Cars" list, for a box stock shootout?
