engine swap31 Aug 2006 20:54 GMT7
I'm planning on swapping an engine out of a 1982 F150 (302) and putting it
in a 1995 Ford Mustang.
now my question is what all will I need for this conversion? as far as a new
computer, rear end, engine mounts etc.   p.s. The Mustang has an existing 3.
2005 V8 GT vs BMW M3?31 Aug 2006 15:45 GMT10
A friend of mine has a BMW M3. He reckons that round a track he would
beat a 2005 V8 stang hands down. Didn't dispute that one but I did say
though that the 'stang would give the M3 a run for its money in a
straight line drag (plus sound much better doin it!). Both are about
RE-engine swap31 Aug 2006 06:11 GMT1
The 3.8 in my mustang is pretty much shot, its still rebuildable but I don't
know if it's worth it. I was offered a good deal on a 5.0 out of a 1990
Lincoln (runs decent less than 100,000 miles) would this be a better engine,
or should I just rebuild the one I have and be done with ...

I can screw up anything... (revisited)30 Aug 2006 02:16 GMT20
Bless me, Mother, for I have sinned. It's been five weeks since my last post
to this thread.
Shortly after I wrote about cleaning the mass air meter and then not being
able to start the car at all, I was introduced to the SECOND hazard
2001 mustang convertible rear window leak29 Aug 2006 13:34 GMT1
I have a water leak near the back window of a 2001 mustang convertible, both
sides.
From the outside there is no rips or tears.
Before I pull the liner off on the inside to see where it's leaking has
87 Mustang 5.0 Stalls when Hot29 Aug 2006 03:54 GMT4
When hot my 87 Mustang 5.0 will buck and stall.  Normally it will
'restart' before engine dies completely.  WHen this occurs the tach
drops to 0 RPM even though the engine is still turning (but with no
power).  Because the tach drops so fast my guess is that the problem is
Ford going Private?!?29 Aug 2006 02:34 GMT2
I heard from a buddy on Friday. He's a big stock market player, and he told
me that he read that Ford is thinking of going private?
Anyone else hear about this?

88 Mustang GT Help28 Aug 2006 23:10 GMT4
I have an 88 Mustang GT 5-speed and it is not running right at all. It
is like it is overloading. You can smell fuel real bad through the
exhaust. When you rev it up really high it will back fire and it is
also missing. I've changed the fuel pump which I had to anyway and I've
As Promised::: My GT vs V6 Test drive ::::::28 Aug 2006 20:40 GMT21
So I kept my appointment with the dealer today and tried the GT vs the V6,
both were coupes BTW.
The GT was moderatly equipped and sticker'd in at $30,000 give or take.
The V6 had a Pony package, Interior upgrade and some security upgrade and
Son, me and oil change woes28 Aug 2006 20:39 GMT12
You people helped so much with my son on changing out his broken car
seat, I'm back again.
Today, we're doing an oil change. He insists he was told his 1998 V-6
mustang has two oil drain plugs, but crawling under there, all I see is
1965 Notchback L6 200 <Value?>28 Aug 2006 14:43 GMT2
Hey Everyone,
I am selling my 65 stang, but I have no idea what the value is.  I am
the second owner and have had the car garaged for the past 11 years.
It has 89k miles on the original engine and 3 spd trans, starts and
Canadians still ass-raped on car prices28 Aug 2006 06:01 GMT1
Corvette base:  $64,000.   Mustangs are similar.  Our dollar value is
only 11% different from the U.S. now but vehicle price differences
verge in some cases on 40%!  I'm beginning to wonder if the hassle of
buying one from Buffalo isn't worth going through?
accord vs mustang28 Aug 2006 04:33 GMT6
my friend seems to think his 05 accord v6 (auto, no performance parts)
can beat my 99 v6 5 spd mustang. maybe it can, that's why I'm asking. I
don't have any performance parts on my car either, just 17" goodyear
eagle z-rated tires and a k&n. I'm thinking it would be a close match,
Mmmm, Free Gum28 Aug 2006 02:49 GMT13
