for my first new one, I'd welcome advice...  For a close to base '07 GT

'79 brakes13 Dec 2006 13:30 GMT4
My son's '79 lost its brakes yesterday, and we spent today fighting
this: I can't get all the air out of the left-front line. We've run
8-10 ounces of fluid through the system, which is maybe 18 inches long
on this wheel, and still there are bubbles with no end in sight. The

"The Mustang continues to be one of the few bright spots in Ford's

Poll: How many miles do you get on your low fuel light?12 Dec 2006 12:00 GMT11
About half-way home today I noticed that my low fuel light was on. Oops,
especially since the nearest gas station was about 10 or 12 miles away. I
didn't stop there though b/c I had to come straight home; so now I guess
I'll see if I can make it to the station in the morning, I ...

93 GT dash vent problem11 Dec 2006 21:42 GMT3
Suddenly my dash vent selector does not work... all air comes out the
windshield defrost vents no matter where the selector is set.
I suspect it is simply a broken linkage/cable or vacuum pot or hose.  Anyone
have suggestion on where to start on troubleshooting this one?

FUEL ISSUES11 Dec 2006 11:21 GMT19
My son has a 92 Mustang 5.0 with fuel problem I think.  It idles
beautifully but when you give it the gas she seems to be starving for
fuel.  She bogs big time.  The pump has been changed as well as the
filter.  Timing is fine too.  I would think the check engine light
Toyota Take Aim At The Detroit 311 Dec 2006 06:16 GMT2
Through the digital grape vine we came across an article on MSNBC that
rehashes the impending battle between Ford, Chevy and Toyota on the
full-size pickup front. We've heard this story before, hell, we've told
this story before, but what caught our eye was close to the end of the
98 won't start10 Dec 2006 23:37 GMT5
I've got a '98 V-6 Coupe I just purchased. Pull-starts OK, but won't
start on its own. Turning the key with clutch in results in a whole lot
of nothing. A slight dimming of the lights and a very faint click, but
nothing otherwise. Any suggestions? I assumed at first that it's the
87 mustang 5.0 family member?09 Dec 2006 15:46 GMT5
I need to bounce something off of you guys!!!  I saw an old friend the
other day, who I hadn"t saw in a long time. He still had his old 87 5.0

Ford Mustang commercial - cars magically change09 Dec 2006 03:47 GMT10
Anyone notice the Ford commerical where there are two guys standing a
shipyard dock watching his Ford Mustang get unloaded off a ship that
one of the cars magically changed? It's the commercial where one guy
asks if he couldn't find a suitable car and the American says that he

Has anyone ever had one go? I can't imagine what it would take for one to
break...  Ex-wife's mechanic says her Mustang's is busted. I call BS. It
would be a 1-1000 shot.  1990 Mustang. Car runs like new. Thoughts?
