Odometer on a 96 mustang..12 Jul 2007 19:45 GMT3
Been told that current odometers are motor driven rather that from the
speedometer.. Is this correct?
Mine is not digital.. just looks like they always have.. just this one
quit working.. (speedometer works fine..no shaking, noise or anything)
Electrical Problem??11 Jul 2007 22:43 GMT3
I have a 1967 Mustang Conv 289.  Only driven once a week to make sure
everything is working.  Lately, when I turn it over, all the gauges are
pegged on high - gas, oil pressure, and temperature, and stay there until I
turn off the engine.

Making an '89 look like an '86?10 Jul 2007 14:29 GMT3
I just picked up an '89 5.0 LX for a song, appears to be in pretty good
condition for the mileage.  I wanted an '89 through '93 model for the
fuel injection system, so I'm happy with the purchase.
Thing is, I *really* like the front end from the '84-'86 models.  I just

Semi OT:  Domestics take another hit in market share09 Jul 2007 02:17 GMT24
It looks like the domestic automakers still can't stop the bleeding.
Maybe I am being too much of a pessimist but things are looking worse
for GM, Ford and, to a lesser extent, Chrysler.  One thing I noticed in
this article is how Toyota's Tundra sales are increasing and Chevy's
Anyone live near Miramar Beach Fl?08 Jul 2007 20:18 GMT7
I'm deep in Canada - sucks, I know - but there is a Mustang in Miramar I'd
like to purchase if it's a good car.  Any Mustang freak willing to take a
look at it for me?
Thank you.
Canadians still being ass-raped on car prices08 Jul 2007 01:48 GMT1
Well, it finally hit Canadian network news, despite the Canadian auto
industry using blackmail tactics (you say this, we'll pull
advertising) to stop it.  Buying a car in Canada is WAY more expensive
than the U.S. and our dollar's value difference is now only 5%.  When

Putt putt06 Jul 2007 04:33 GMT2
I was driving down the interstate in my 96' GT, and as I accelerated
to 65 mph, the engine just like gave up, and starting to sputter
almost like it was missing or running on 7 cylinders. I had to drive
it home, and the whole way there was a definite loss of power and the
My first barn 'find'06 Jul 2007 01:17 GMT1
A friend in construction invited me to look in an old farm barn before
they leveled it for new construction. Much to my surprise I found a
NOS right rear quarter panel, partially still in the paper wrapping
with FORD logo. Unfortunately, it is not pristine. There are several

Turn signals02 Jul 2007 21:38 GMT2
1966. Blinkers blink so rapidly it almost seems they're on continuously.
Question:
Does the early Mustang have a different control, or flasher, for the turn
signals then it does for the emergency flashers? All four lights blink but
Bad accelerator pump on EFI 5.8 (Ping Jim Warman)02 Jul 2007 18:55 GMT3
1995 E250, 351. WTF would make this thing stumble from a stop like
the acc pump was bad on a carb?? It doesn't always do it, but it does it
enough that you can't trust it to pull out into traffic.
2007 Instrument Panel Visibility02 Jul 2007 12:09 GMT5
After a recent test drive, the only thing not to like was the
hard-to-read gauges.  Is there any workaround to get a brighter
instrument panel?  The model I drove didn't have the interior upgrade,
so does that help?  Any chance it will be addressed in the 08s?
