The one(s) that got away - what could you have bought that you didn't?30 Jan 2009 21:08 GMT7
In 1970 One of my college roommates had a Shelby 500 GT (probably a
68?) he was behind in the payments and it was going to be repoed.  I
should have bought it but wasn't impressed at the time.  He wound up
in a 58 Galaxy.

Need help not Mustang but still Ford19 Jan 2009 04:02 GMT7
Subject vehicle is a 1995 Mercury Tracer with the 1.9 liter engine. (CA.
spec.).  The car stumbles at speed and suffers from a severe power roll off
at mid to high RPM.  KOEO=111(good) KOER=111, cylinder balance test
=538,(odd I know) which I assume to mean cylinder ID failure.  ...
I must be getting old16 Jan 2009 13:39 GMT9
That 2010 Taurus looks good to me.
Ford needs to sell well over 100K of these things per year, and it looks
like a winner. Not crazy about the front grille treatment, but with a
limited edition, I'd never have to look at it.

Looks like a great car, excellent handling, a turbo 5 cyl, and only in Europe?  This is why the domestics are getting killed.

Cerberus (Chrysler/GMAC) has set the hook and the fish is loving it12 Jan 2009 20:15 GMT1
The size of the bailout that the money boys at Cerberus Capital are
seeking (and getting) from the U.S. Government is growing at a faster
rate than the market share of Chrysler LLC is shrinking.  According to
this story -- http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs ...
2002 GT heads:Does anyone know if there are machinists that can line bore the cam towers on 4.6 heads?10 Jan 2009 02:55 GMT6
Does anyone know if there are machinists that can line bore the cam towers
on 4.6 heads? My heads are in perfect shape except for  the fact that the
cam tower bearing surfaces are scored. It would seem to me that it would be
a relatively simple operation to surface grind the ...
Once again the Detroit idiots outperform the Japanese geniuses06 Jan 2009 20:25 GMT1
For the second straight month the sleepy greedy morons at GM and Ford,
who make no vehicles that Americans want to buy, have done less
terrible than the energetic innovative geniuses at Toyota and Honda.
The record for December 2008 (vs. December 2002):

New Mustang01 Jan 2009 12:05 GMT3
A few years ago I rebuilt a '69 GT fastback.  I painted it Ford Mist Blue;
it looked silver in the dark, blue in the light.   Loved that car.  But sold
it to finance another project.   Now I own a 66 coupe that I'v had for about
7 years.  I like this car, too, but I never drive ...
Mustang Guy Scores Again01 Jan 2009 11:34 GMT8
I gave Tim -- a.k.a. Mustang Guy -- a call about a week ago and told
him I needed a new processor for my Cobra.  He had what I wanted in
stock, and had it in my hands in less than a week.  As always, his
care doesn't end with just locating the item and prompt shipment.  The
