96 F250 A/C goes through heater when on the gas15 Sep 2003 12:30 GMT2
I have a 96 F250 that is a great truck... I just stumped with a recent
problem.  When the truck is warm and your on the gas, the A/C switches from
the dash vents to the heater.  I'm thinking it's something vacuum
controlled.  Has anyone seen this type of problem before?
New '67-'72 Ford pickup website15 Sep 2003 06:12 GMT1
Hey all...as most of you know I recently put together a couple of
tutorials on Identifying '67-'72 pickups and Installing Power Steering
on '67-'72 2WD pickups. I thought it would be nice for them to have
their own site, especially considering I'm getting ready to go
Rattling engine on 2002 f15015 Sep 2003 05:40 GMT3
I have a 2002 F150 with the 4.2L v6 with 15,000 miles on it. When the engine is
warm I hear a rattling sound coming from the motor. The sound is louder when
accelerating.  I don't see any loose exhaust parts or shields. I don't know
if this has anything to do with it, but about ...

I got in a little fender bender in my ford ranger pickup 1994 4X4 manual

Or other device?

Rough Idle, Bogs Down, Back Fires14 Sep 2003 15:54 GMT5
I've got an '86 F250 w/302 and 180K miles that was running fine. The
other day as I was towing a friend's van it started loosing power,
back firing (the little internal ones) and finally just stopped.
I was able to get it started again (though it's a chore), but couldn't
F350 E40D leaking fluid14 Sep 2003 14:21 GMT2
I'm not usually in this group but I am trying to fix my son's 1997 F350
Power Stroke before he returns from active duty. Before he left he installed
a shift kit and now the trans fluid leaks, appearing from near the rear of
the pan.
Wah!14 Sep 2003 02:13 GMT11
As many of you know, I have been slowly getting a 1978 F-250 back in running
shape for towing.
I thought I had it pretty well dialed in when the darn thing conked out on
me the other day.  I checked the obvious stuff and it wasn't getting any

2WD to 4WD Conversion - 1991 Ranger13 Sep 2003 22:16 GMT1
Gentlemen:
I've been contemplating an 4wd conversion to my 1991 Ranger, including an
engine/trans swap since it currently has the 2.3L.
My questions: 1) Will the Ranger handle a 302 or would I do better simply

I have 30k miles on my 2001 f150 supercab heavy duty with plow.
I am the second owner.
the tires are slightly cupped and I am wondering if the factory shocks are
not up to the loads of a 7 1/2 snow plow.
2003 E450 Transmission problem12 Sep 2003 22:53 GMT1
I wonder if anyone has heard of the following problem with the Ford 4R100
transmission. I just purchased a C Class Motorhome built on the E450 chassis
and at 300 miles on the odometer a whine developed at approx. 45 mph in OD
if I shifted out of OD or if I released the accelerator ...

Went and got a fuel filter to install and found out it takes a special tool

shop change a filter?...or buy a tool that I may use once?
