How important is the long bed?12 Sep 2003 02:50 GMT12
I have been looking for a good used pickup, and I am finding many more with
the short bed, in the condition I need, than with the long bed.  I have been
holding out for a long bed just because, but do you guys with short bed
trucks miss the long bed much?  I found a terrific truck, ...
F150 King Ranch SuperCab ??? 11 Sep 2003 02:47 GMT3
Looking for pros and cons for a 2001 F150 5.4l King Ranch.
Dealer asking for $24,271 (Started at $25,999) with 39,360 miles,
it is loaded with every damn thing. Seems like a good truck to the unknowing
eye. I have never owned a Ford before so just looking for some reviews.
how to remove revets for body mount brakets?11 Sep 2003 01:20 GMT5
88 ranger - 217 k miles and the front brakets have split where the rubber
bushing sits.
The leaf spring braket to frame could stand replacing too.
Where can I buy these brakets - body shop or online?

I have an 84 Ranger 2.0L and need some help with the emission control
circuitry.  The diagram near the radiator is all but gone and I have a
few dangling hoses going to the control box on the left.
Can anybody send me to a site that explains where all the emission

This damn Bronco II !10 Sep 2003 22:39 GMT8
Replaced the timing chain and gears.  Replaced the *real* problem which
was a fly wheel with the center ripped out with a 3" diameter hole around
the bolts.  (Don't ask - 17 year old involved).  I set the timing at 10?

2000 F150 rotting exhaust10 Sep 2003 14:31 GMT6
This weekend noticed dripping from my muffler in my 2000 4.2L std tranny
f150. Turns out the bottom of muffler is rotting out. Only has 11k miles. Am
surprised this happened so quickly. I live in SoCal so salted roads and
weather is not a factor.
1989 Bronco II sluggish...10 Sep 2003 14:27 GMT2
I hope someone can help me with my little problem. I recently had the tranny
rebuilt on my Bronco II and now it seems to be real sluggish when you first
apply the gas. Once it gets going it's fine, it shifts out of first a little
slow (3500 rpm) but then it runs great.
New 6.0 Powerstroke10 Sep 2003 01:23 GMT1
Are the 6.0L built after the spring problems holding up? Also, are the 04
features worth anything.  Ford has some nice deals on 03 stock now.
Thanks for the info.
More Rust (quality what?)09 Sep 2003 21:16 GMT2
Well it happened again first my oil pan rusted threw with only 69,000
miles and now the rear spring mounts rusted threw and the springs were
just resting on the bottom of the bed, and the front ones are getting
close, Anyone else had these problems ?  I'm the original owner and only
Noise on takeoff09 Sep 2003 19:32 GMT1
Just wondering if anyone knows what the problem is here.  I have a 97 F-150
4x4.  When I hit the gas I hear a strange sound coming from the back of the
truck.  It's like a low tone squeal like something is slipping and also when
I get into those slippery spots and the limited slip ...
91 Bronco update09 Sep 2003 15:36 GMT3
This is the update on the POS Bronco 2 - 2.9 L  fiasco from a couple of
weeks ago.  It turned out to be the fly wheel completely shot.  The reason I
never saw any broken bolts or parts in the inspection plate area was because
It was a perfect ripout of the flywheel - about a 3" hole ...

Try burning a few nogs in the wood burner, they'll heat the house all
night long.
Lower ball joints on '97 F15009 Sep 2003 12:25 GMT1
Can anyone tell me if the lower ball joints on a '97 F150 did not come
with grease fittings?
Took my truck to the local fix-it shop to have what I thought was a
bad squeak in a new inner tie rod fixed and was told it was a dry ball
