I have been looking for a good used pickup, and I am finding many more with the short bed, in the condition I need, than with the long bed. I have been holding out for a long bed just because, but do you guys with short bed trucks miss the long bed much? I found a terrific truck, ...

| This damn Bronco II ! | 10 Sep 2003 22:39 GMT | 8 |
Replaced the timing chain and gears. Replaced the *real* problem which was a fly wheel with the center ripped out with a 3" diameter hole around the bolts. (Don't ask - 17 year old involved). I set the timing at 10? BTDC (this is a '91 with a 2.9L engine, auto tranny). It ...

| 2000 F150 rotting exhaust | 10 Sep 2003 14:31 GMT | 6 |
This weekend noticed dripping from my muffler in my 2000 4.2L std tranny f150. Turns out the bottom of muffler is rotting out. Only has 11k miles. Am surprised this happened so quickly. I live in SoCal so salted roads and weather is not a factor.

I hope someone can help me with my little problem. I recently had the tranny rebuilt on my Bronco II and now it seems to be real sluggish when you first apply the gas. Once it gets going it's fine, it shifts out of first a little slow (3500 rpm) but then it runs great.

Just wondering if anyone knows what the problem is here. I have a 97 F-150 4x4. When I hit the gas I hear a strange sound coming from the back of the truck. It's like a low tone squeal like something is slipping and also when I get into those slippery spots and the limited slip ...

| 91 Bronco update | 09 Sep 2003 15:36 GMT | 3 |
This is the update on the POS Bronco 2 - 2.9 L fiasco from a couple of weeks ago. It turned out to be the fly wheel completely shot. The reason I never saw any broken bolts or parts in the inspection plate area was because It was a perfect ripout of the flywheel - about a 3" hole ...

Can anyone tell me if the lower ball joints on a '97 F150 did not come with grease fittings? Took my truck to the local fix-it shop to have what I thought was a bad squeak in a new inner tie rod fixed and was told it was a dry ball
