Attempted to change the fuel filter in 2000 explorer with a special tool as recommended by auto parts store but still can not get the lines to disengage from the filter. What in the hell am I doing wrong!!!

Is there a trick to getting the thermostat to seat properly in a 351w. I just changed mine in an '87 and can't get it to seal for the life of me. I don't know if it has something to do with the fact that it's a vertical housing or what. Any tricks? Thanks.

As promised, here is a follow up to my previous posts where I was complaining about uneven and premature tire wear on my 2002 Ranger 4x4. When I noticed excessive tire noise after the last servicing. I found the tire were worn and scalloped.

I took my truck (99 expy xlt 4x4) in for brake issues and the dealer called me back to tell me that I was missing my sway bar. I've never heard of somebody missing (losing) a sway bar. Could this actually happen?

Well, the 1993 Aerostar is no more as soon as Purple Heart tows it off. They will auction it off, probably for a few hundred bucks. Darn good engine, tires with perhaps a 1k on them, Michelins. New battery, new exhaust...on and on. Darn.

I have a 97 f150 v6. I am hearing a rattle (not REAL loud) when I first startup in the morning, after I drive about 15 minutes or so it seems to go away. Is this just a "colder weather thing"? The noise seems to be at the front (radiator side) of the engine. Any hints appreciated ...

I have a 99 Ranger, extended cab with a 4 liter, automatic, 2 wheel drive. Sitting at a light for about 30 seconds and wham!, the truck feels like it was hit in the rear about 5 mph by another vehicle. No, I look and the car behind me is about 10 feet back.
