Wheel bearing replacement12 Jun 2004 20:01 GMT2
   I've got a 96 Ranger 2wd 137,000 miles, that's making an intermittant
whining noise when rolling, not affected by application of brakes or by motor
revs.  We've checked the brakes, nothing is rubbing or loose, in fact we
replaced the front shoes just because we had access at the ...

Shift kits11 Jun 2004 18:01 GMT3
I have a 99 F150 SC 4x4 4.6 with auto trans.  Has anyone had any mods
done to their auto trans to make it shift more 'positively'?  When I am
driving in the hills, the transmission just doesn't seem to spend much
time locked in and the shifting is quite mushy.  I think that the
Ford Radio/CD11 Jun 2004 16:48 GMT7
I have a new 03 Ranger that I've had for 2.5 months. I put a cd in the slot
on the radio and it won't come out. The dealer wants to take the radio out,
send it to a non-Ford repair and charge me for the problem. My question is
this: Can I free up this disc without the lame ...
2001 F-150 seat upholstery problem11 Jun 2004 04:19 GMT3
I recently purchased a low-mileage, 2001 F-150 super crew with cloth seats.
When purchased, the driver's seat had a small hole in the cloth.
Within two months this hole had grown to over four times the size.  This
morning I noticed something sharp poking me in the leg when I sat ...

Heater blows heat at all times.09 Jun 2004 02:59 GMT4
97 Ford Ranger - Don't know what happened.  The heater blows heat all
the time, even when it's off you can still feel the heat coming out of
the vents.  Any help would be very much appreciated.  It's Texas and
it's already HOT here. - Cruz
What is Super Duty?09 Jun 2004 02:57 GMT14
Hello to everyone.
I just bought a 1990 F-350 4x4 diesel to use as a work truck. It needs
a bit of work, so I was looking for shop manuals. I see that some of
the manuals (at Helm), are for Super Duty, and some are not. What is
Tranny oil temp gauge - where to install?08 Jun 2004 15:19 GMT2
I just checked out the Tekonsha tranny temp gauge installation
instructions.
They show that it should be installed downstream of the cooler, in other
word on the return line where the cooled fluid is going back to the
'92 F-150 shocks & suspension08 Jun 2004 03:43 GMT5
Hi y'all,
I've recently purchased a nice '92 F-150. Well taken care of by the previous
owners.
I found a paper in the glovebox saying I can't use the truck for a slide-in
shelf-it or other overhead storage solutions for F-25008 Jun 2004 02:36 GMT2
I have a Ford F-250 and am looking for an overhead storage solution . The
only one I can find so far is Shelf-It which attaches to the stock sun visor
bolts. The deluxe package claims to have two 12volt outlets.
Does anyone have one of these installed?  I an especially interested in ...
What transmission do I have?08 Jun 2004 01:11 GMT2
Is there a chart of year v. engine v. model v. tranny somewhere?
I have a '00 E150, with the 5.4L engine, and would like to know what
transmission I have in there.
A chart would be useful in researching tranny failures due to towing loads.

'02 F350 4x4 rear brake question(s)07 Jun 2004 04:46 GMT8
Headed home from work last night and made the last stop before turing
on to my street and heard a gawd-awful grinding noise from the rear
end.  Pulled into the driveway and heard it again.  Popped the rear
wheels off and sure enough, rear pads are toast.  Kind of confusing
