I finally got a new(er) engine put in my '82 F100, and it's the same size, a 4.9 inline 6 from an '86...I'm really happy, 'cept for the mileage :+) , but I notice an identical deep subtle growl from the truck when I get out on I-85 above 60 mph in 4th gear

130,000, and just and had tranny problems, I had the shop replace the clutch too. Shop had a hard time bleeding the chutch, then they said "We had to stand it on the rear bumper to get the air out of the slave cyl. because it sits at a wierd angle making it hard to bleed". I drive ...

Just had the transmission resealed due to a front bearing leak at 120,000. June 2000 at 74,000 the transmission failed and put in a factory rebuild for $2700. This isn't bad durability, but nothing great either. Thoughts?

99 F350 cab & chassis, power stroke, with utility body. Weight loaded just under 11000 lbs.. Also, I pull a 11000 lb.. (empty weight) tag along trailer. No problems at any speed, just a problem stopping. I can stop alright, but I know it is straning to do so.
