door hinge question24 Sep 2004 02:33 GMT4
1981 F150.  The "S" shaped pin on the upper driver's door hinge broke this
week.  Can I replace just this pin or must the whole hinge be replaced, and
any leads on where to get this part?  I'm looking for new.
Thanks in advance,
ticking noise23 Sep 2004 20:23 GMT5
I have a 1994 F-150 with a 302-V8. It has 135,000 miles on it. The
engine is making a ticking, or rattling noise at lower RPM while
driving. I assume this is from the valve train.  What could it be and
what should I do about it?
How to run fuel pump on a E350? ? ?23 Sep 2004 16:00 GMT4
I think my fuel pump is dead. Where do I jumper to make it run with key off?
Someone said the Inertis switch. But that is just an off/on switch in case of
front in collision, The Inertis switch is ok.
I assume there is a relay somewhere. But where?
1987 van, 302, engine dies23 Sep 2004 08:28 GMT2
I have an 87 van with 302 engine.  It runs fine but will die at any
given time (loss of ignition).  Sometimes it will start, run at idle
for several seconds, then die.  The last time it died was going down
the road at 60 MPH.  Sometimes it will start back up.  One time I

Which wheel bearing?22 Sep 2004 16:54 GMT8
This problem is on a  96 Ranger XLT, 2 wheel drive, short bed
I am fairly certain that I have a wheel bearing  going.  The sound that
it makes is speed related to tire and wheel rotation. Hard to describe
but kind of a "critch, critch, critch".  I have tried preloading each
2004 F150 - K&N Filter21 Sep 2004 15:07 GMT61
All,
I recently purchased a F150 2004 FX4 SuperCrew with the 5.4 engine.  A
friend of mine this past weekend started raving about the K&N air filters -
and how we could immediately tell a difference in performance the first time
Anti-sway Bar Question20 Sep 2004 16:56 GMT1
I've an F150 4x2  which is mostly used for hiway driving, with a couple of
NY - LA runs thrown in during the year. Installing an anti-sway bar (rear?)
has been on my mind lately, I was just wondering if anyone with one already
installed think there was noticeable improvement in the ...
Ranger truck brakes20 Sep 2004 16:35 GMT6
I have a '95 Ford Ranger.  I know that on most vehicles, when the
brake pads get to the point they need replaced, the brakes will start
squeaking constantly.
On my truck, they will squeak a little in the morning (which I'm
brakes-hissing noise20 Sep 2004 06:33 GMT5
Although my brakes seem to be working OK, I am hearing a slight hissing
noise under the dash.  This noise almost disappears when I push the brake
pedal in slightly.  These are power brakes.
My first thought was the vacuum host going up to the booster (I believe)
Installing Hella 500 Lights20 Sep 2004 05:27 GMT1
Looking into some information concerning installing  a pair of Hella
500 on my F350.  I have a brush guard up front and it appears that
mounting them on it will not be a problem.  I am concerned about the
wiring and do I just want to wire it directly to the battery and then
F-250 - Diesel Maintenance?18 Sep 2004 20:43 GMT10
I have managed to talk myself into wanting a F-250 Diesel, (crew, 4X4),
used.
The gassers out there seem to take great pleasure in ribbing oilers about
maintenance. In the real world, what are the major maintenance differences?
