ABS & Cruise Problem - 93 F150 5.0L supercab 19 Oct 2004 00:17 GMT2
Just started getting a flashing abs light the other day. It flashes 15
times then 1 longer flash ...then repeats.
Coincidentally (perhaps not?) the cruise control has stopped
functioning.

Brakes, 2002 Excursion17 Oct 2004 03:26 GMT4
With just under 50K on the odometer I've had to have the front rotors
replaced 3 times, and the rears turned down.  After 10K to 15K miles I get a
real bad pulsation of the brakes.  When stopping from 40mph or faster the
steering wheel will move an inch or so as the brakes pulse.
'98 Ranger Disc Brakes17 Oct 2004 02:52 GMT7
The service guide calls for lubricating the caliper slide rails every 5K miles.
Can someone explain this procedure?  I assume the wheel has to come off; do I
also need to remove the caliper?

Absurd engine overheating problem14 Oct 2004 18:42 GMT4
I have a 1994 Ford E150 van, 5.0 liter gas engine. There is an
overheating problem that defies analysis.
Normally, my temperature gauge read low, with the needle sticking on
the N part of NORMAL on the gauge. It stayed the same in almost any
1988 Ranger now quits running with gas cap on14 Oct 2004 06:46 GMT6
Gassed up this am - had 1/4 of a tank to start.  At about 40 miles of
driving today it started running rough and then died.  Never had a problem
with this truck before.  Now no start.  I think I got some bad gas with
water in it (?).  I walked to an esso station and bought some gas ...

Hello all.  Got a little problem with my '85 Ranger 2.8L, carb, auto trans.
I *can not* get it to turn over and start.  It used to start just great,
then it sometimes it would turn over and start, sometimes wouldn't even turn
over, then it would.  Now it doesn't turn over at all.  ...
stinky camper shell12 Oct 2004 16:28 GMT8
When I bought a SnugTop fiberglass camper shell for my Ranger three years
ago, the installer told me the solvent smell would dissipate in 6 months or
so. That hasn't happened. The smell is still nauseating. Does anyone have
any tips on getting rid of the smell?

Settle arguement11 Oct 2004 15:53 GMT6
Need help settling a debate on another group.  Guy says a simple waste
gate adjustment will give massive power improvements, as much as 40 HP
on a turbocharged engine. I say he is full of it and will gain nothing
unless he also adjusts the fuel delivery and timing.
88 Bronco II won't start11 Oct 2004 13:13 GMT3
Well, I got a 88 bronco II, 2.9 V6 EFI 2 wheel drive that has been sitting
in the garage for a long long time now. She stopped running one day and I
tried to fix her but finally gave up and got another car. Now this car had
similar problem and it turned out it was a crankshaft ...
20" wheels on F150 4WD10 Oct 2004 21:25 GMT1
Hi,  I thought of putting 20" wheels on my 1999 F150 4WD reg cab but I can't
figure out if it would look nice.  I want to give it the look of SUVs or
Dodge Ram SLT but I don't know how to get the effect.  I
want lower profile tires and the regular tires you find on a F150.
