Installed new carb, transmission won't downshift.31 Jan 2005 15:13 GMT2
Installed Edelbrock carb (600) in my automatic 1982 F150. Transmission is
not down shifting when accelerating. The kick down rod is actually moving
but the transmission is not kicking down. I can manually down shift, and
that works fine, but, kick down doesn't work.
1986 diesel 6.9 stalls after cold starts31 Jan 2005 03:48 GMT2
New fuel pump installed.  New O-rings on injectors installed.
Truck starts fine when cold but stalls within 30 secs and is very hard to
restart.
Runs and starts fine all day once you restart it
93 Ranger timing belt installation31 Jan 2005 03:27 GMT3
Can somebody tell me which way the bolt loosens on my
93 ranger so I can put a new timing belt on it?
My Hanes manual doesn't seem to mention it.
Manual transmission on my '88 PU30 Jan 2005 18:03 GMT1
Today I accidently shifted from 5th to reverse
and ground the gear some.  From that point on
I lost the ability to shift into 5th or reverse,
which of course are on the same plane.

Ford Ammeter29 Jan 2005 11:56 GMT1
Hi Group, I am a newbie to Ford Trusks,( Any trucks actually.) I recently
bought an '87 Motorhome with a 460. The ammeter hardly moves at all. With
the engine not running and all electrical on, lights, fan etc, the needle
moves only about 1/16 of an inch discharge. With the ...
fluctuationg Oil Pressure29 Jan 2005 09:49 GMT5
My wife has a 2001 Exploder with the 4.0 engine. For the last two weeks the
oil pressure fluctuates from very low to normal setting off the check gauge
light. Doesn't happen every time she drives the car, just once in a while.
I'm taking the car in today. Any guesses as to what it ...
F-450 Engine Swap?29 Jan 2005 09:00 GMT5
Here's a question for the group. I am buying a '92 F-450 wrecker in good
condition to convert to a Gooseneck/5'th wheel hauler with a small sleeper
cab added. (The dealer bought it just for the wrecker gear and only wants
$1K for the truck...so it's a steal!). Will be hauling ...
Where is the fuse puller?28 Jan 2005 10:38 GMT6
I have had to spend time with the fuse panel in my `04 Ranger today.
I cannot get a head on view of this panel, and replacement of 6 of the fuses
in this require a better view than what I can get.
I stretched the contact of the stereo fuse receptacle trying to rob power
4x4 cutting out?26 Jan 2005 23:13 GMT4
Hey, here's a good one I just found:
I have an F250, 5.4l motor, 4x4. and while driving today, with the hubs in
'auto', the 4 wheel would just cut out and go to 2 wheel for no reason. The
switch on the dash stayed at the 4 wheel position, but it would just go into
Ford Ranger Problem26 Jan 2005 19:09 GMT2
My check engine light came on in my 96 Ford Ranger and the reader said this:
P1443 Evap. Emission Control System Control Valve.
Is this a major repair or can a little shop fix this for me?
Thank you,
'71 f100 A/C question26 Jan 2005 17:05 GMT2
I found a decent, fixer upper, underdash condenser/blower duct a/c unit from
a '72 in the local U-Pick-It. My '71 originally had a/c but this part was
missing. I wasn't planning on reinstalling an a/c system in the near future,
but I thought I'd grab it tomorrow when I go back. Is ...
Ford F150 1988 fuel guages26 Jan 2005 04:48 GMT2
I have a king cab with dual tanks. When I fill the tanks, the guages go to
full. They stay at full until the tanks are near empty and then they drop.
I'm thinking senders but the common link would be the guage or the switch
for the tanks. Has anyone out there seen the same problem?
