Folks I'm replacing my 1993 F150 headlight switch. I have the old one out and the new one side by side. The new one did not come with the shaft for the knob. How do I remove the shaft from the assembly and insert it into the new one? ( I've thought about smashing it apart, but

Bully Dog claims to have the lowest EGTs. Superchip claims the same danged thing. Hypertech says they are the easiest to use. They all cost just about the same ball park number, so I could care less

| 89 Ranger clutch/trans problem | 22 Jan 2005 22:31 GMT | 5 |
It's a V-6 and I just replaced the clutch 1800 miles ago. I had no problems with the new clutch, til now. Hydraulic fluid is full. I can't change gears unless I shut off the engine first. When I let the clutch out it'll grab about a 1/2-3/4 of an inch off the floorboard. I replaced ...

So I went on a winter vacation, and forgot to winterize my 1993 f350 (351) when I came home the truck started and ran just fine. I took it to the dump and back, I happened to run out of gas at the station and it was hell to start. It happened a second time before I checked the ...

| '71 f-100 spring question. | 19 Jan 2005 20:22 GMT | 9 |
The rear springs in my p/u sag pretty bad even when a relatively small load id placed in the back. My local U-pick-it has a truck with helper springs and others with beefier (extra leaf) springs. The helpers would be easier to remove and install on my truck but I was wondering if ...

| 1997 Aerostar door regulator?? | 19 Jan 2005 13:51 GMT | 2 |
My window has started rolling up crooked and getting stuck. I think it is most likely a door regulator. Any idea where to get a quality MANUAL driver's door regulator? The dealership wants $126. sidenote: A little disturbing that a vehicle with only 33k miles has a

I have a 1978 Ford 460 engine that I am rebuilding. I want to be able to bypass all of the electrical start-up and just be able to start it up with a flip switch that you would see in the new race car/truck that you see today. Does anyone have any pointers on how it is I could ...

| Engine ID | 19 Jan 2005 05:17 GMT | 5 |
I think I have a 390 in my 73 F-350 (just bought it) but could be a 360. I checked the VIN and it is a 360 by that, however, the owner said a new engine was put in a few years back and it is a 390. What numbers should I be looking for on the block?
