~help~ F150 Headlight Switch Replacement26 Jan 2005 04:30 GMT2
Folks I'm replacing my 1993 F150 headlight switch. I have the old one
out and the new one side by side. The new one did not come with the
shaft for the knob. How do I remove the shaft from the assembly and
insert it into the new one? ( I've thought about smashing it apart, but
Power Chips and programmers?26 Jan 2005 00:01 GMT2
Bully Dog claims to have the lowest EGTs.
Superchip claims the same danged thing.
Hypertech says they are the easiest to use.
They all cost just about the same ball park number, so I could care less
89 Ranger clutch/trans problem22 Jan 2005 22:31 GMT5
It's a V-6 and I just replaced the clutch 1800 miles ago. I had no problems
with the new clutch, til now.  Hydraulic fluid is full. I can't change
gears unless I shut off the engine first. When I let the clutch out it'll
grab about a 1/2-3/4 of an inch off the floorboard. I replaced ...

gathering and presenting information on problems with various Ford
vehicles including tranmission, fuel injector, tie rods, axle and other
problems. If you have any suggestions for any other problems or
buying a high mileage Ranger?21 Jan 2005 02:21 GMT4
thanks so much for the many responses to my questions about Ranger gas
mileage.  so I'm looking for my next Ranger and finding a lot of 90K and
100K Rangers.  kind of wondering about that - if I buy one with 100K miles
what kind of major repairs are on the horizon, or are they good ...

Hey all I am working on a 1992 f250 cargo van with the 4.9 engine. The oil
pressure gauge is not working. When you key the ignition switch the needle
moves backward like it should but it wont move up like it should once the
engine is running. I replaced the oil pressure ...

Found 2 freeze plugs....19 Jan 2005 20:24 GMT2
So I went on a winter vacation, and forgot to winterize my 1993 f350 (351)
when I came home the truck started and ran just fine.  I took it to the dump
and back, I happened to run out of gas at the station and it was hell to
start. It happened a second time before I checked the ...
'71 f-100 spring question.19 Jan 2005 20:22 GMT9
The rear springs in my p/u sag pretty bad even when a relatively small load
id placed in the back. My local U-pick-it has a truck with helper springs
and others with beefier (extra leaf) springs. The helpers would be easier to
remove and install on my truck but I was wondering if ...
1960 Ford Pickup Gas Tank...need one!19 Jan 2005 14:36 GMT3
Can anyone point me in the direction of a good aftermarket fuel
tank for a 1960 Ford Pickup. I am helping a friend find restoration
parts, and the old tank is filled with rubbery sludge, and is starting
to pinhole. Any help would be awesome. Thanks in advance.
1997 Aerostar door regulator??19 Jan 2005 13:51 GMT2
My window has started rolling up crooked and getting stuck. I think it
is most likely a door regulator. Any idea where to get a quality MANUAL
driver's door regulator? The dealership wants $126.
sidenote: A little disturbing that a vehicle with only 33k miles has a
Windstart 95: takes much longer to start engine in cold weather19 Jan 2005 10:26 GMT5
My Windstar 95 when temperature dropped below freezing, takes much longer to
start an engine.  Usually it took 2-3 sec to start the engine after starter
was turned on, now it takes 5-10 sec.
What are the most common reason for this?  I am afraid that in January

Truck rewiring19 Jan 2005 05:32 GMT3
I have a 1978 Ford 460 engine that I am rebuilding.   I want to be able to
bypass all of the electrical start-up and just be able to start it up with a
flip switch that you would see in the new race car/truck that you see today.
Does anyone have any pointers on how it is I could ...
Engine ID19 Jan 2005 05:17 GMT5
I think I have a 390 in my 73 F-350 (just bought it) but could be a 360.
I checked the VIN and it is a 360 by that, however, the owner said a
new engine was put in a few years back and it is a 390.
What numbers should I be looking for on the block?
