'94 Ranger..Please help!06 Jan 2005 00:09 GMT3
I have a '94 Ranger (4.0) with 146k miles on it, and have been having some
major headaches lately with it. I have a guy working on it, and with his
scanner's error codes, came up with replacing the DPFE, the EGR relay, the
idle sensors, and a couple other things.
Chev's now number one?05 Jan 2005 12:59 GMT17
It is clearer every day that Chev's have caught up and surpassed Ford in
the truck making business.
Why?
Why has Ford, the once proud truck builder, allowed itself to fall this
chains for F150 4/405 Jan 2005 06:00 GMT1
I bought a set of chains for my truck the other day, and was wondering
whether to put on front or back.  In the back you run the risk of the chain
hitting the break line if it isn't tied down some how.

Dangerous04 Jan 2005 04:14 GMT35
What if I needed to do 100 mph? I would eliminate the restrictor. Some
would disagree with me but I feel the restriction could be dangerous in
itself.

Vinyl seat seam03 Jan 2005 19:19 GMT3
The seam on the vinyl seal of my '96 is coming apart, and other than
pulling the seat completely apart, what's the best method for arresting the
unraveling and repairing the stitching?  No torn vinyl or anything, just a
seam coming apart.
front bumper hitch03 Jan 2005 18:49 GMT1
I have a 96 Ranger 4X4 and would like to mount a trailer hitch on the front
bumper for maneuvering a light wt (1000 lb) tent trailer into tight places.
It doesn't have to be very heavy duty. Any suggestions for a cheap solution?
Tire chains - '04 F15003 Jan 2005 17:23 GMT3
Got a question about tire chains for my new 2004 F150.  The dealer had me
sign a waiver from Ford advising against using chains.  I have 255-70-17 "
tires.  I thought this was probably just posturing against warranty repairs
by Ford, but when I tried the chains on the rear wheels ...
Shopping for truck, need answers.03 Jan 2005 01:09 GMT9
I am looking for a Super Duty and am torn between the gas/diesel decision.
I like the idea of less maintenance with the gas, but I would like the
torque of the diesel. I have a 28' boat rig, which weighs in around
11,000lbs. I don't tow more than 1/2 a mile to get the boat to the ...

I drive Big Iron so global warming is bunk02 Jan 2005 01:31 GMT15
My truck has a Triton V10 for massive American power and I will not be
told by eco-weenies that I am causing global warming. They can gather
all the bearded bespectacled "scientists" they want and have them make
all their speeches and papers but I will still drive Big Iron because I
winterizing a 90 Reanger?01 Jan 2005 14:30 GMT2

I am considering some travel "east of the mountains", which from
Seattle, means "Going where Winter means more than 'continued rain'."  As
