Got a noisy serpentine belt idler bearing by the alternator on my 96 F350 w/ 5.8L. Can I replace just the bearing or does the whole pulley have to go? Browsing through those horrible web auto parts sites (they must all be the same, as they all use the same P/N's!) I don't get ...

| Spare tire on cab and chassis | 22 Apr 2005 18:00 GMT | 5 |
Why is it that the Ford cab and chassis has the fuel tank installed where the pickups usually have the spare tire storage? Both trucks have about the same fuel capacity. That said, I am at a loss as to where to store said tire in a work truck

I have a 96 F350 4X4 crewcab with a little 5.8L motor. It's working pretty hard pushing this monster around, and I recall something awhile back that trucks get better gas mileage with canopies because it streamlines the vehicle. Does anyone remember this subject or have any ...

I drive a Ford F250 (full size, American made, accept no substitutes) with a 6.8L Triton V10 engine that needs lots of clean fuel. I ride tall and proud in American iron and I need American oil to power it. Since 1960 the ANWR reserve has been waiting for God fearing Americans

| E-250 Models | 18 Apr 2005 04:30 GMT | 3 |
Was looking around for a van and since I have a F-250 truck would like to stick to that size, used. Most of the E-250s I see are work vans, which would be ok, but was looking for a conversion van but can't find many. Were 250 conversion vans sold by dealers? I need to look at ...

After the ordeal of replacing the rear springs/shocks on my 96' Ranger 2wd, I foolishly decided to tackle the front end-you should see the looks I get at the spring shop- I've run into a serious roadblock. Can't get the axle-radius arm bolt out. Got the top shock keeper nuts off ...

| Electrical gremlins revisted | 17 Apr 2005 14:42 GMT | 1 |
A few weeks ago I asked a question about why my turn signals shut-off my cruise control and/or unlocked my torque Converter. Some one posted that my center mount stop light was burnt out. It was! Changed it and the truck is happy now.
