How difficult to do?29 Sep 2005 18:57 GMT4
The shop estimate was $125 to change a couple dashboard backlights. My
question is just how difficult is it?

Hiya
Just bought a 1995 Ford E250 3/4 ton 4.9L I6 cargo van which has been
overheating on the highway and a couple days ago I noticed a tiny point in
the upper section of the radiator that leaks fluid at highway speeds. I

Was sitting in a new F-250 in the showroom waiting for parts guy to look up
stuff for my 92 truck with blown head gasket.
Salesdick kid comes up and says "What do I need to do to let you drive this
home today?"

1998 Ranger U-Joints28 Sep 2005 14:09 GMT2
I'm getting a sound from my front end that sounds as if I'm running snow
tires with agressive treads, I suspect u-joints.  Could be a wheel bearing
too I guess.  it seems to quiet down as I turn to the left.
Does anyone know how hard it is to replace the u-joints in this truck?
Overheating and slight rumble when driving over 55mph27 Sep 2005 11:26 GMT10
I just purchased a 1995 Ford E250 cargo van with 4.9L I6 and 3-speed auto.
Everything seems to run fine and all fluid levels are up where they should
be. No fluid is leaking.  Tranny fluid is red, radiator fluid is green, oil
is still somewhat clear. Prior to purchasing this ...
4 wheel drive - how to engage27 Sep 2005 05:18 GMT2
I have a 1992 F-350 cab chassis with manual hubs and 4x4 shift on the floor
and I can't get it to engage.  I lock the hubs, shift to neutral and I can
shift to 4 Lo but not 4 Hi. The shifter says to "push down" but that doesn't
do anything. Am I missing something or is something ...
1995 Bronco 5.8L 4X427 Sep 2005 04:57 GMT2
Can someone help me with this?
On cold mornings, the engine misses.  If I drive before it gets warm it lugs
and I can even hear what sounds like a backfire.  It idles at about 1300
rpms, then returns to normal after warmup.

94 F-250 Front Camber question22 Sep 2005 23:21 GMT20
Posting a question for my father, about his 1994 diesel F-250 that he's
owned since new.
This has always been something he's noticed.  He has mentioned it to the
dealership several times over the years, and they've told him it is normal
1999 Ford Ranger: loud whining noise21 Sep 2005 01:28 GMT4
I recently bought a 1999 Ford Ranger with 52k miles from a dealership.
It whines pretty noticeably, maybe within 10 mins of startup. I live in
Atlanta and it's pretty warm here so I
run the Air Conditioning. BUT this happens with or without the AC running.
Check Engine Light - 1996 Ranger20 Sep 2005 22:39 GMT6
I have a check engine light that will not go out. I've had it checked by a
technician who reset it and the light did go out for a day or so when it
reappeared. I'm at the point where I find the fuse and remove it, but I'm
wondering if this is a common problem.

Every time I get in the truck, I find the pedals and seat have moved
from where I last set them!  WTF?  How do I get them to stay where I
want them?
