360 V812 Oct 2005 18:41 GMT37
I am looking at a good Ford F350 to put into service with my landscape
company. It has a 360 V8. I've heard they are gas hogs. But, how much of
a gas hog, I'm not sure of. How would that mileage compare to say a 390
V8 in the same size truck? Or how does it compare to a 302 in an ...
emergency brake question12 Oct 2005 17:52 GMT6
I have a 88 F-150 2WD. The people that inspected it said the emergency brake
needs a "slight" adjustment. I have noticed it has to be pushed down pretty
far.
I looked at the adjustment cable, and it is a ball of rust. Instead of
2003 F150 Park Brake shoes12 Oct 2005 04:00 GMT3
Yesterday I had my truck in for oil change and inspection.  They advised
that the park brake shoes on the rear needed replacement (veh has discs
on rear but drum for the park brake).  As it only 2 years old with 42000
km (26000 mi) and as these brakes only are used when the ...

Big O brand tires11 Oct 2005 03:31 GMT6
Has anyone used the Big O brand, if so, did you, do you, like them?  My
current Wranglers on my 03 Ranger should be good for a few more months, so
figure they will be good to 40,000 miles so I'm starting to check out tires
now. Thanks.
code scanners10 Oct 2005 12:33 GMT4
I just tuned in to alt.trucks.ford after being gone for a couple of years.
I have two 6 cyl Rangers, a 99 and a 2003.  Is there any paticular code
scanner I should buy, or any I should avoid?  Bill M
Historical Price of Diesel10 Oct 2005 11:42 GMT6
I haven't owned my diesel truck long enough to form an opinion, so I'm
asking those who have...
Forgetting about the prices in the last year or so, but historically,
even taking account seasonal fluctuations, haven't diesel prices always
F-800 dry weight10 Oct 2005 06:47 GMT11
Was wondering what the unladen curb weight of an F-800 equipped with a
utility body and a 38ft bucket.  It is diesel (7.8 I think) with automatic.
I know that the GVW is 33k, but need to know what it would be reasonable to
license it for, since I am not going to be loading it up ...

Hello..
Just put a set of Goodyear Wrangler AT/D2s on my 1999 Ranger 4x2... I
got nearly 100K out of those factory Firestones. w00t!  I went for the
same size of 225/75/15.  I chose the Wrangler AT/D2s because they
Dash Lights....09 Oct 2005 22:33 GMT1
I have a 98 F150.  The light bulb on the left side of the speedometer is out
and is driving me nuts.  What is involved with getting to it to replace the
bulb?  Am I going to need to take the entire dash apart?
1999 F150 brake pressure switch (cruise control)09 Oct 2005 14:16 GMT5
In an effort to avoid the dealership (mostly b/c my truck has been
grounded for the next month while saving up for ball joint and shock
repairs) I would like to perform step one of the recall myself until
the official parts come in for the Ford Cruise Control Recall Fix.
camshaft position sensor09 Oct 2005 04:33 GMT6
Ok guys, I've looked high & low on my 2000 Ford Excursion 7.3L, and cannot
find this sensor.  Can someone please describe to this dummy how to locate
