I'm looking at puchasing a 99-01 Ranger pickup.  Don't have one in
particular picked out yet, but it must be extended cab, have four wheel
drive and an automatic transmission.  These can be found with both 3 and
4 liter engines.  If there are some owners out there, I'd appreciate ...
Heater Core install07 Nov 2005 02:29 GMT15
I think that I need to replace the heater core in my 95 f150 is this a
job that I can do by myself or should I take it to the garage to have it
done?  My truck has AC.  If anyone can help me out on how to do this I
would appreciate it.
2000 F-150 4x4 front end squeak06 Nov 2005 17:27 GMT2
Hi, the front driver side of my truck has a terrible squeak any time
there is movement in the suspeension of the truck, any little bump,
even turning the wheel.  I've jacked the truck up and I believe that
it's the bushings in my control arm but was just wondering if anyone
Stereo in 05 Ford Escape05 Nov 2005 20:17 GMT1
I recently won one of these things and although it is fun to scoot around
in, the stereo in it leaves a lot to be desired from a sound quality point
of view. It has a 6 cd changer and since it is hard to make really bad
electronics these days, I thought I would start with a simple ...
Could someone identify this thing?05 Nov 2005 19:14 GMT5
I keep getting asked, but I don't really know what this thing is, or is for.
I've only owned the truck for a week and the owners manual says nothing
about it.

Smooth shocks for1987 E-250 ?05 Nov 2005 15:27 GMT4
I bought a set of Bilstein shocks for my 1987 E-250 last year ago or so. I
have hated the ride from day one. You can feel every single little bump in
the road. I made the mistake of getting some sort of semi-off road shock.
Anywhooooo  ...  I'm finally willing to fork out the ...

Ranger Transmission Replacement Advice Needed03 Nov 2005 19:47 GMT3
The 1st and 3rd syncros are giving up on my 94 Ranger (3L, 5-speed,
Supercab). I am going to give it to one of my kids for college, and want
it running reliably for the next two years.
I am in Central California (a small town near Sacramento).
2001 - 5.4 Diesel03 Nov 2005 15:30 GMT19
I was looking at a 2001 F250 with a 5.4. The salesman started it up
and the thing sounded like a diesel, I said I thought I was looking at a gas
powered truck, not diesel. He said it was gas, they sound that way
because of the overhead cam and the idle circuit. It did smooth out
97 F250 Std Cab Too High03 Nov 2005 15:30 GMT3
RE:   97 F250 2WD Std Cab Too High
I got this truck today.  It is difficult for me to climb
into the cab and my wife can't get in at all.  Is there
some gadget I can install to make entry easier?
88 F-150 with dual tanks...gauge problems03 Nov 2005 10:23 GMT3
I have a 88 F-150, 4.9L with dual tanks. About 2 years ago, the rear tanks
would read full, but once below 3/4, it would dance from empty to full. Then
about 1/2 tank, it fell to empty. No biggie. Just filled the front tank and
kept like 5 gallons in the rear as a spare.
1999 Mazda B2500 (Ford Ranger) revs own engine02 Nov 2005 02:10 GMT12
I've got an odd problem with my 1999 Mazda B2500 (Ford Ranger under the
hood), I'll post as much information about it as I can and see if it
makes sense in the end.
About two months ago, I had the following work done on the truck, in
anyone running synthetic oil in Ford 5.4 Triton V8 ?01 Nov 2005 05:37 GMT7

97 Ranger, hooked the battery up backwards01 Nov 2005 03:26 GMT5
A friend of mine called me from 1500 miles away. He hooked the battery up
backwards in his 87 Ford Ranger. He said smoke came out of a plastic box
near the battery. When he connected the battery up the correct way the truck
is dead. I'm guessing he fried a fusible link. Never ...
