| What's involved in Raising a "Lowered Truck" F350 | 30 Jan 2006 16:07 GMT | 1 |
Well...my search for a decent truck continues. On a lot yesterday sat a 2001 F350 with 86k miles (v10 gas; auto 2WD). They are asking $11,900. I could probably buy it for a grand or so less... Pretty decent shape; ran great. But...somebody lowered it! The gas tanks

Just curious, I have never used overdrive in town, but have been wondering if it makes any difference in gas mileage to speak of? Thanks.

| finding actual dealer cost | 30 Jan 2006 05:48 GMT | 13 |
Does anyone have a sure fire way to tell what the dealer paid for a used vehicle? If I were to do a title search on a car through the state DMV records office, would that indicate what their purchase price was?

| 2001 - 2004 Ford Ranger 4.0L QUESTION.... | 30 Jan 2006 03:03 GMT | 4 |
I was looking at getting a newer used Ford Ranger 4.0L or Mazda B4000 extended cab 2 wheel drive truck. I have read that the gas mileage is almost the exact same with the 3.0L and the 4.0L so might as well go with the bigger one - right?

| 1978 F-100 tranny problem | 30 Jan 2006 02:36 GMT | 3 |
Just had this transmission rebuilt by someone who does an excellent job on GM transmissions, but obviously not so good with a Ford transmission. It is a C-6, behind a 300 cubic inch six. It shifts great on the 1-2 shift, but lags horribly on the 2-3 shift, like it is

| Power window switch | 29 Jan 2006 20:55 GMT | 6 |
I have a '95 Bronco, which shares lots of parts with the F-150, and it has power windows. Does anyone know when Ford started offering 'express down' on driver side windows? I was gonna see if I could just replace the switch and get that functionality. Thanks.

| 94 Ranger is my Master Cylinder broke????? | 28 Jan 2006 16:16 GMT | 20 |
My problem started a couple weeks ago. The ABS light came on, aprox 1/2 hour later my brakes were not working properly. The pedal felt all wrong (goes all the way down with no pressure) and it sounded like the breaks were intermittingly stopping (like skidding) when they did

| Rear axle for 1986 Aerostar | 28 Jan 2006 03:50 GMT | 5 |
I'd like to swap the standard axle in my van for a limited-slip unit. The van had no interior items when I bought it ($300) and likes to spin the right rear, especially when the road is damp or wet (5-spd tranny). Logic states that two wheels trying to propel the vehicle from a ...

| Mazda B4000 (Ranger) outside mirrors question | 27 Jan 2006 01:33 GMT | 2 |
I have a 1997 Mazda B4000, 4.0L V6, 4WD. The truck has two outside rearview mirrors. One of them appears to be ever so slightly loose -- I adjust it for a good view of the rear and after a few days of driving it has slipped out of adjustment. Is there anyway to open these ...
