F250 Lariat and heated seats25 Jan 2006 22:59 GMT3
Question for the group. I have a 2006 F250 Lariat and it has heated seats,
which for the most part work great. But they don't automatically turn off
when the engines stopped. I mean they're off when the trucks not running but
as soon as I start the truck they're back on. Is this ...
7.3 powerstroke burnes valves at 100k+?25 Jan 2006 22:40 GMT14
A local Toyota service manager was telling me that the 7.3L
Powerstroke tends to burn valves shortly after 100k (after the
warranty period, of course).  Can anybody verify this?
Thanks,

Pulling 96 5.8L upper intake25 Jan 2006 00:43 GMT4
I was looking over the upper intake manifold on my 96 F350.  I need to
pull it so I can change my PCV valve and might as well do the TPS while its
out.  I understand how to get it out except for one bolt that I can barely
see.  There is what appears to be a Torx head bolt way ...
What happens if F250 is Driven with Speedo Disconnected24 Jan 2006 03:26 GMT10
I'm deciding whether to buy a F250  1995.  I have run a carfax...and the
total reported mileage checks out...at 65k.
I suspect that the truck has higher miles than that.
My question:  Could the former owner have disconnected the Speedo/Odometer

I just finished a test drive of a 2003 F-150 regular cab 4.2 V6 5-speed
w/39K on it at the local Ford dealer....basically a bone stock truck
except for upgraded seats (captain chair style with flip down center
console) near as I can tell.  Truck appears strong, no obvious

1996 F-250 Codes-What Do They Mean?23 Jan 2006 03:31 GMT1
I finally got around to borrowing my friend's scanner tool this weekend
and hooked up to my '96 F-250 to see why the check engine light comes
on every now & then. I've also experienced an intermittant power loss
so I knew I'd pull something on the codes. Here's what it gave me....
95 Econoline Shudder at gear change23 Jan 2006 01:17 GMT1
I have a 95 Econoline with an automatic overdrive tranny, and it shudders
when changing gears, not always, usually only when at full or near full
throttle.  I have replaced the Universal Joints and it did not make any
difference.  I can determine that the vibration is from the front ...
90k mile Ranger with only oil change for service...22 Jan 2006 22:24 GMT3
Looking to buy a used Ranger for my son.  Already had 3 taken in for
used car inspections and all had misc problems.  I found one today that
is a 2002 v6 auto with 90k miles, almost all highway commute miles.
Original owner.  When I asked if he has done all the factory
Do I have OBD II or Something Else?22 Jan 2006 21:09 GMT5
I recently took my 1996 F-250 to Autozone for a scan of my check engine
light. (Comes on every so often-doesn't stay on, though). Went outside
with a clerk and neither of us could find the OBD II connector! I have
a factory manual for this vehicle and checked the stated locations
is this an ABS problem, how to fix?  94 Ford Ranger22 Jan 2006 15:00 GMT8
I have a 94 Ford Ranger (2WD) and a ouple days ago the ABS light came
on.   Since then the light has not been coming on, but the breaks are
not working properly.   The break pedal feels like there is no
pressure and when I do push it all the way down I can hear the tires

a possible mpg savings by changing out the 4.10 differential gears for a

94 Ranger parking break problems21 Jan 2006 22:21 GMT4
I recently bought a 1994 Ranger 4x4 and noticed that the parking break
barely works. I can push it to the last notch and it just holds a
little bit. I attempted to adjust it and noticed there is some sort of
ratchet-type system in the pedal. Is this how it is adjusted? Can these
