OK here is a new one for yall....
I have a '00' Ford Ranger 3.0L Flex-Fuel 97,000mi, 5spd, 3.71 rearend.
Suddenly I noticed one cold morning when I started my truck that it sounded
like it had a miss. It also vibrated what I would consider harshly (compared
1992 F-150 Moisture Problem19 Jan 2006 03:56 GMT3
1992 F-150 4x4, 5L manual trans. 140k miles.
Lately it seems that whenever there's high humidity with rain/snow the truck
doesn't want to start.  The temperature itself doesn't seem to be the issue;
as long as the air is dry the truck starts fine.  The truck cranks fine, but
Ford Ranger 2000 4x4 clutch transmission problem18 Jan 2006 02:19 GMT4
I would think that this was a really rare problem, except that my
wife's Explorer had the exact same problem last year.
The truck is a 2000 Ford Ranger 4x4 with a 3.0L engine and a 5 speed
manual transmission. Total mileage: 155,000. Otherwise the truck is in
F-150 oil pressure17 Jan 2006 19:39 GMT1
Start the engine, oil pressure light flashes on ... then off (normal)
and then within 3-4 minutes the the oil pressure drops, oil light goes
on, and within 30 seconds the oil pressure is back to normal. This only
happens within the first few minutes of engine start. I'm ...
1994 F-150 Extended Cab Child Seat Safety17 Jan 2006 15:04 GMT2
Does anyone have experience using a child car seat in the back bench seat
of an F-150 extended cab (particularly a '94). Mind you, not crew cab. I
don't have the full seating to work with. Is it safe? Is it unsafe? Is it a
really bad idea to try it? I am completely new at this ...
Mazda truck code sensor question16 Jan 2006 23:50 GMT1
I'm an old shade-tree mechanic -- my specialty is VW Beetles, the real
Beetle, not these new wannabe Beetles with water-cooled engines up front.
My experience with code sensors is zero.
As I understand it, newer vehicles have sensors all over the place that send
thank sBB  ford16 Jan 2006 21:55 GMT6
Recall just barely out of date just cost me 700.00  thanks Ford.
O-ring intake seal was supposed to be fixed free if I had gotten it in
10,000 miles ago.
The fact I bought it used had no bearing.
1997 Mazda B4000 ABS and 4WD warning lights problem16 Jan 2006 21:32 GMT5
Bought a used 1997 Mazda B4000 last week; been driving it for 10 days

indications:
1.  ABS light comes on and stays on.
460 vs. V-10 in 26' motorhome?16 Jan 2006 14:55 GMT14
I had a 1988 460 with a C-6 that loved gas almost as much as it loved
exhaust manifolds!  Are the newer 460s with fuel injection any better?  What
about the V-10?  I've heard of problems with wrist pins, warped heads, spark
coils, etc. but they are supposed to get better fuel ...

4x4  will not engage in all three settings auto, 4h, or 4L15 Jan 2006 18:24 GMT4
A friend of mine has a 1998 ford ranger that does not engage in any of the
three settings auto,  4H, or 4L. It has on the dash dial to engage the 4
wheel drive. When you start the truck the indicator lights (all three of them)
blink 4 or 5 times and then shut off for about 10 ...
Anything new of Cruise Control recall fix?14 Jan 2006 14:11 GMT15
A couple of months ago, I called the dealer about the final fix for the 2000
model F-150 cruise control switch.  He stated a fix was not out yet for the
150 and I would be notified.  It has been a long time, has anyone heard
anything or had the final fix completed?  Or has Ford ...

Does anyone know where the open door sensor/switch is on a 99 ranger? I
am getting a false signal when all doors are very well closed and
locked. This causes the cabin light to remain on all the time.
ramon.
1989 F250 buzzes when I try to start it13 Jan 2006 23:07 GMT2
My (recently purchased) 1989 F250 Diesel frequently "buzzes" when I try
to start it.  Sometimes it just turns over and fires up as normal, but
at other times it makes this loud buzzing noise over and over again
without starting up.
