Bed Replacement: Will '86 Ranger bed fit '90 model?  Major mods required?24 Mar 2006 19:01 GMT1
I have a '90 Ranger with standard 6' bed that needs replacing.  An '86
is available in junk yard.  Looks the same but the P/Ns are different
between the two years ('90 thru '92 are same PN)  Anyone know if the
'86 bed can be installed with minimum of mods to bed or truck?

to check in here before going to the "dealer" for their "explanation".

come from various places in the engine. it doesn't sound ...
2000 Ford Ranger won't Idle24 Mar 2006 18:44 GMT4
I have a 2000 Ford Ranger. My ranger won't start unless I give it gas,
something that it's never done before. Once I get it to start it won't
idle on it's own. I can drive it as long as I don't stop. It'll die as
soon as I hit a stop sign or a red light. Could this be the fuel pump?
'01 Ranger Fast Idle24 Mar 2006 18:23 GMT2
Recently I noticed that my Ranger idles somewhat fast when it is cold
(1,300-1,400 RPM).  After the engine warms up the idle goes back to normal
(800 RPM).
Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this?
2001 F-150 Supercrew Spare Tire Carrier24 Mar 2006 18:23 GMT1
My wife took the truck to Goodyear for a flat tire repair.
They gave the truck back to her with the spare in the truck bed, not
underneath.
They said the carrier mechanism is stripped and they can't put it back.
Unlocking Rear Doors24 Mar 2006 13:18 GMT8
06 - F350 (four door) - place in drive after 5mph all doors lock this
is great.  When I stop, put in park - only the front doors unlock, back
doors must be opened manually?
I have read the manual, no help - what is the secret, it must be a

My 99 250sd (long box) is looking for a dump kit/box.  Anyone care to make
recommendations/suggestions?  I'd prefer to keep the receiver hitch up and
runing.
TIA, RJ

carbon removal, water, ATF etc.22 Mar 2006 21:29 GMT3
I "hear" you can slowly pour ATF into a carb, keeping the revs up, and
many clouds of nasty smoke will exit the tailpipe (water is more
subdued)...
has anyone done this? The engine is supposed to be spotless when torn
Removing smog hardware ?'s22 Mar 2006 13:33 GMT7
My '82 F-100 longbed has a 300 inline 6, 1-barrel, and ac with no belt
on it...
I removed the charcoal cannister, the windshield washer/radiator
reservoir, the filters that attached to the air cleaner...all because
tailgate jammed22 Mar 2006 04:39 GMT2
greetings, was using our 91 f150 to haul some wood to get it recycled.
think the tailgate was bent pushing off some of the bigger pieces.
went to slam the tailgate stuck and one side latched and the otherside
didn't :-(.  needless to say the tailgate is jammed shut now.  can't
ford 4 wheel hub questions21 Mar 2006 22:47 GMT5
My daughters 97 ranger just had the hubs go out last week during a
monster snowstorm in Minneapolis.  The replacement automatic hubs will
cost $900 to replace or about half of that for manual hubs.  According
to consumer reports, this is a common problem with ranger pickups.  A
What is the damn difference?21 Mar 2006 16:22 GMT11
Between an F-250 and 350?
93 Ranger 4L A4LD transmission hesitates..vacuum?20 Mar 2006 20:12 GMT5
At a stop, I have to rev my engine either in neutral and shift into
drive to get the tranny to engage, or rev it in drive and try to let
off the gas before it slams into 1st.  Then it misses the shift into
2nd until I either do the reving thing again, or wait about 4 seconds
