Checking Differential Fluid?14 Mar 2006 23:28 GMT1
I have a 1990 F250 4x4, that has some small leaks in the front differential.
I fixed the one in the back, that was easy.  However, the front one is a bit
more of a mystery, and all the garages around here are total rip offs (why
can't I find a good mechanic?).

Hey Fellas,
I just bought a 1988 Ford F-150 with a 4.9L 5 speed, and It has this crazy
electrical problem. I knew that the truck wouldn`t run before I bought it,
but the price was right ($500.00) with 118,000. The truck will not start and
Obnoxious horn honk on alarm12 Mar 2006 01:27 GMT2
The F-150 users manual calls it a 'chirp' but it is anything but that. When
I turn on the alarm with the remote entry transmitter I get a real loud honk
of the horn to let me know the alarm is set. The headlamps and parking lamps
flash when I set the alarm so I really don't need ...

because I am from his generation.  This article really hits home on
How come the South is so kinfolky?11 Mar 2006 17:41 GMT13
I have had the misfortune of living the last several years in a
semi-rural, semi-urban part of the south in the TX AR LA MS TN area
(one of those states, not including western TX or eastern TN).  I have
found it to be extremely clannish and cliquish.  Many adults here go to
2004 Ranger Questions11 Mar 2006 08:00 GMT3
I posted about a week ago on advise on buying truck. I ended up buying a

Couple of questions. Are there any known issues with this model, anything I
should  keep any eye on. Secondly, truck was bought from ...
? Lifting 2wd 01 f-15011 Mar 2006 05:39 GMT4

way?  Body lift?  Spindle lift?  Or what?
BTW, cost is a concern ;~)
HELP-86 Ford Ranger turns but won't start09 Mar 2006 20:34 GMT5
Strange problem, truck runs for about 5 to 10 minutes and then stop.  It
will spin but doesn't have spark.  I checked with a timing light and tried
to ground a plug to the manifold.  Changed "brain" module on distributor,
checked the rotor, cap and coil wire.  Checked all the ...

I have a 97 ford f150 with 157000 miles.  I dropped a valve the other day
and the mechanic explain that the spring broke.  He indicated that this is
uncommon.  If so why me?  What would be the down fall of the vechile once
the new spring is inserted and put it back together?  ...
reading OBD-II DTC's on the DATC (heater control) module?06 Mar 2006 15:39 GMT9
The 2002 Powertrain Control and Emissions Diagnosis manual says, about
the Dual Automatic Temperature Control module, "The DATC module has a
vacuum fluorescent display for displaying set temperature, function and
diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), and utilizes an on-board diagnostic
Ranger towing limits: any RVs?06 Mar 2006 15:26 GMT3
--Spent a pile of time yesterday googling to find RVs listed by
towing weights, but with no luck. I'm trying to determine who makes what, in
the way of RVs, that are lightweight enough (2400 lbs or less) to be towed
by the 3.2 liter Ranger. Anyone got pointers to more useful links?
