92 Ford Ranger Problem31 May 2006 23:26 GMT2
I have a 92 Ford Ranger I drove it to work one day it started and ran fine.
I went to leave for lunch and it would not start, Took me 20 minutes to get
it started. It idled a little fast and you couldn't give it any gas, Or it
would cut out and backfire.

I want to add a *slight* lift to my 1996 F-250 4X4, nothing crazy-maybe
2". I found a kit that basically uses 'helper' leaf springs in both the
front & rear of the truck to gain a lift of 2".  No other mods are
needed (so says the ad). My question is...will the truck tend to "road

My 98 Expedition driver window will often not go down or will stop
midway intermittantly.
Changed the motor and the proble continues. Turns out when the switch
is depressed the motor is only getting 8 volts (in the window up

My dad has a 94 Ranger 3.0 V6 160 thous miles, who doesn't believe in
taking to a shop to have it fixed right. The problem is when you try to
start it , periodically it clicks no crank. After a while it will start
on its own. It will not take a jump. Starter relay been replaced. Two

During HOTT days my '97 4.0 Ranger will not stay running ,or idle after
restarting the truck.
Anyone have any ideas what the cause might be?

What type of engine oil should be used in my new 2006 4.0L  Ranger?  In one
section, the owners manual says to use Motorcraft SAE 5w30 oil or an
equivalent 5W-30 oil meeting Ford specification WSS-M2C929-A.  In a
different section, the owners manual says to use Motorcraft SAE ...

area and I am thinking about buying it. But I'm not sure what the going
price might be.

Can anyone decipher the code for my rear axle? The truck is a 1996 F
250  w/5.8 auto 4 x 4  and the tag on  the door jamb for the axle reads
'39'  anyone have any idea what axle this is? The reason why I need to
know is that every time I need to buy suspension parts (shocks U-joints

Does anyone have some guidance, or rule of thumb, about how close a
nail puncture has to be to the sidewall to be considered
un-repairable?
Searches left me with nothing tangible.

94 5.8 wont start.. after new timing chain.. water pump installled....27 May 2006 16:26 GMT1
Ok.. We're working on a totally stock 94 5.8 Bronco that ran before we
started all this.  We started out fixing a broken off bolt that holds
the timing cover housing on.  Once we got it drilled out and a new heli
coil in.. we started to reassemble.  We thought.. since we were in
98 Ford F-150 named "American BLUZUMR"27 May 2006 16:08 GMT2
