98 ford ranger 4x4, 3.0 motor31 Jul 2006 14:12 GMT2
We have a 98 ford ranger 4x4 pickup. It has the 3.0 engine. At
about 120,000 miles the motor spun a main, as we expected it would as
the 3.0 is a throw away motor anyway. They cannot be rebuilt be regular
joe at home mechanics. You have little choice but to get a remaned
Low fuel warning light: 2001 F-15031 Jul 2006 05:18 GMT14
I checked my owner's manual (don't tell anyone) and it only says the warning
light signifies low fuel.
How many gallons are left in my tank when the low fuel warning light comes
on?

I've started having trouble.  Started with Misfires.  I changed all
plugs, changed the fuel filter, air filter, and cleaned the MAF.
Cleared the Codes and and it came up again.  I checked my injectors for
leakage and none.  My O2 sensors were reading too rich and too lean.
93 F150 vibration-front yoke replacement?31 Jul 2006 00:54 GMT5
I read through the thread about the 94 4x4 and it doesn't relate to
what is happening to my 2wd 93 extended cab.
This is a 4.9 liter inline 6. 5-speed manual jap transmission.
I've had this vibration since I've owned this truck, but it used to be
service kudo's30 Jul 2006 19:33 GMT1
While on the road this week the VVS failed (you should feel how hard the
trany shift is when this fails). Well, the very small town it failed
near didn't have the part in town, so I went on to the next town with a
Ford Dealer, which was The Dalles Oregon. Which is Ray Shulten's ...
Straight exaust on a  diesel30 Jul 2006 17:00 GMT1
Having an argument with my son over a Ford diesel truck F-250 Super Duty (
highway driving only, 50-60 miles a day ) he owns.  He wants to run a
straight exhaust from the manifold back or run stacks straight thru.  I am
telling him he can create an engine problem doing this in ...

starting problems28 Jul 2006 22:03 GMT1
I have a 88 ford f150, 300 six, manual 5 speed.  When  cold starts
fine. (overnight)  When I stop it after driving for a while and try to
restart it, it won't start.  If I jump across the solenoid it starts
fine for the restart. So the solenoid work fine "cold" but doesn't kick
Ratcheting Noise on Shutdown: 2001 F15028 Jul 2006 18:28 GMT3
I just had coil #2 replaced.
Two things are now occuring.
The first, the oddest, is the way the truck shuts down when I turn the key
to off.  Where it used to sound, or feel, like I was turning off the motor,
2006 Ford 12 Passenger Van28 Jul 2006 06:22 GMT10
Looking at a used 2006 350 at the local Ford dealer.  It was a lease
program vehicle with 22,000 miles.  It's got a big V8, 5.4 or 5.8 litre
something like that.  4 speed auto with overdrive.  The salesman
couldn't give me an accurate mileage rating for the vehicle.  He said it
Do I Have Keyless Entry? 1998 F15028 Jul 2006 05:34 GMT3
I bought a used 1998 F150 XLT.   It has power door locks.  The previous
owners did not provide a keychain remote, nor do they know whether
there ever was one.
Before I go out and buy a set of remotes, how can I find out if my
Rough and no Power27 Jul 2006 13:55 GMT4
My f350 turbo diesel starts fine but runs rough after 20 or 30 sconds.
The check engine light comes on and there is a real lack of power. In
another minute or so everything is fine. I have changed the fuel filter
but there was no change.

clutch26 Jul 2006 03:49 GMT4
I have a 1994 f350 turbo standard. Is there a way to adjust the clutch?
I see no leaks but the peddle goes to the floor before the clutch
releases, especially when hot.
