F150 2wd to 4x430 Aug 2006 13:43 GMT9
I have found an '88 F150 Ext. Cab with really low mileage and is still
in good condition. Not really what I was looking for the the mileage
and price caused me to have a second look.
It has a 5.0L V8 with a 5spd but is 2wd. I was really looking for a 4x4

Transmission problems on a '9829 Aug 2006 19:43 GMT2
4.6 V8, 4 speed auto...
The transmission won't shift from second to third when engine is cold
first thing in the morning.  The only way I can get it to shift is to
take my foot off the gas and it will drop back into third. Later in the
F-150 1997-2003 OEM wheel interchange29 Aug 2006 00:21 GMT3
I'm thinking of trying to pick up a set of second hand wheels for my 97
F-150. As I understand it, 12mm studs were standard for 97-99, then for
2000-03 they went to 14mm studs. Are OEM wheels interchangeable between the
two stud sizes, IE could I use 03 wheels on my 97?
1983 F150 6-cyl Exhaust Manifold?28 Aug 2006 21:39 GMT4
I have a loud leak there somewhere but I can't even figure out how to
get the pre-heater box off so that I can see. There is some sort of
flap valve thing in the rear of the box. Is it likely that the exhaust
manifold has a hole or crack in it? Thanks.

Temp Sending Unit-92 Ford Ranger27 Aug 2006 02:39 GMT4
My temp gauge is showing cold all the time so I assume it's not getting
any reading (since it's HOT here in Kansas!). Does anyone know where
the temp sending unit is on this model?  I have a unit cut into the
block heater hose with an electrical connection but would think the
tail light stuck26 Aug 2006 02:00 GMT3
When the wife came home after I had parked the truck, she said the passenger
side taillight was on. I went out to look at it, sho nuf, it was the only
one on. I took the tailight assy. off and wiggled a wire to the socket that
was stuck on, and it went off. Put the assy back in ...

OK here's the scoop.  I've got an 87 2wd F150 6cyl with 4spd manual
tranny. About a week ago, I went to start her up and turned the key.
She cranked as usual but once I let go of the key everything died...By
that I mean everything that works with the key is dead... I still have
Electrical Issue 1998 Ford F15025 Aug 2006 02:59 GMT6
Maybe I can get lucky and come across someone who knows more about this
problem than me. I have a 1998 Ford F150, 4.2 liter motor, (motor is
10,000 mile new) with an electrical issue. Whenever I start the truck,
it starts fine and the battery guage reads normal. After a minute or

Air compressor question, nothing to do with Ford trucks23 Aug 2006 15:40 GMT8
This question is not related to Ford trucks but I have had good luck
receiving excellent answers on this NG so I figured, what the hell.
First, a rant.  I must admit to being very pissed off and to having knocked
back several cold longnecks.  I work back stockroom for a major ...
