Rebuild specs for a 460 FI16 Oct 2006 17:55 GMT1
It appears I have to pull my engine that runs really good, but has 120K
miles on it. I have one head that may be bad, and don't want to work on it
in the truck.
In any case, if I pull the engine, I'd like to go ahead and tear it down and
05 Ranger stick - transmission & clutch pedal questions16 Oct 2006 13:36 GMT6
Hello group,
I recently bought an 05 Ranger XLT I4 5spd 2wd.  I have driven
stickshifts for many years, and have owned new vehicles, and have put
new transmissions (not transaxles) into vehicles.  I've had 15 of them
89 FORD AEROSTAR SCHEMATIC FOR HEATER HOSES16 Oct 2006 13:31 GMT5
I have replaced the heater in my mini van and the original owner had
disconnected the hoses. There are two connectors for the water to flow
through but I am not sure where they would be connected to. Does the upper
connection go to the thermostat or the water pump ? If anyone has a ...
Sudden involuntary acceleration Ford f-15016 Oct 2006 03:25 GMT9
I have a new 2006 f 150 with the triton engine. Sitting in a traffic
jam with my foot on the BRAKE the truck for no reason accelerated out
of control. The power was more force than the brake could stop and was
lighting up the back tires like a dragster at the tree. I had enough
Manual trans f/'93 F-15016 Oct 2006 03:23 GMT2
I have a '93 F-150 with a 300 I-6 and the E4OD auto transmission. When I got
the truck, it had been thoroughly abused and modifications had been made
which were supposedly for high-performance gains. Why anyone would do these
mods on a 6 cylinder is beyond me, but they have ...

Hey all I rcently did a job on my ranger where I replaced all
hydraulics, rotors and drums. After bleeding the brakes I still have a
low pedal. When the truck is not running the pedal is hard as soon as
you start it the pedal is low but the truck stops. I had a similiar

ok my fuel pump wouldn't turn on when I turned the key in my 91 f150,
so I replaced my pump, fuel filter and when I had it apart I made sure
that the pump was getting power and that the inertia switch was popped.
I put everything back together and put some fuel in and my pump still

2003 f150 Lariat supercrew14 Oct 2006 21:20 GMT1
Hello, found some transmission fluid leaking down on the drivers side of
radiator where the top transmission line goes into radiator.  Wondering what
are my options as this is the first I've seen it do this, vehicles at 84,000
kms.
Parting out or selling 89 Ranger14 Oct 2006 20:05 GMT4
Is anyone interested in parts off an 89 Ford Ranger XLT.....This was
my "dependable" truck until I discovered that water is dissapearing
from the radiator and ending up in the engine.  It still runs, but
will overheat in about 10 minutes....I would sell as is if anyone
Ambient Thermometer for '99 Ranger14 Oct 2006 14:26 GMT1
When I got my Ranger, the thermometer was not available, and I'd like to
get one installed on the beast.
I like the display without the probe sticking out above the mirror, or
being visible, but I don't know where to get one.  And I really don't
Drilling out Exhaust bolts14 Oct 2006 12:35 GMT3
Well, I took my f-250 into a muffler place and they were going to take off
the right side manifold due to a broken bolt in the head, and fix it. 2
hours later, the guy called me and said he couldn't fix it, and I now have 4
broken bolts. He tried the usual trick of welding the ...

Hi guys & gals, A friend of mine has a 1991 F150 that has had the
engine replaced. It now has an oil leak. It looks like the rear main
leaking. How can we identify what year engine was put in the truck so
we can get the correct rear seal before tearing the engine apart?
How much ?13 Oct 2006 19:53 GMT4
Should I expect to pay for a remanufactored transmission? I have a 95
Ford aerostar with a 3.0 engine and 3 speed with overdrive tranny. I
priced them at autozone .com only to find to my dismay they are very
expensive ! 1400 to 1800 dollors seems a bit much for any transmission
