When I am on gravel roads I usually don't use the 4x4 until I think I need it. I was travelling with another truck this weekend on some roads that went ranged from flattish gravel to fairly steep and rocky. I was still able to get up most of the hills in 2WD but a friend was ...

| OOH my aching gears! | 12 Oct 2006 07:07 GMT | 2 |
I'm helping someone learn to drive a stick. They caught on pretty quick, but not without a couple gear grinds. Maybe one or twice a year, I'll miss a shift when in a hurry. I wonder if I should if I should check the pan for metal filings and change the trans oil before regular ...

My 96 F350 prime mover has been spitting and bucking, or just plain being gutless when cold the past couple days. The rotor and cap needed replacing, so I did that, suspecting crossfire. Didn't do the trick at all. I got a chance to look it over again today and found that ...

A few years ago I bought a 1996 Ranger with a black plastic bedliner that covers up all the hooks and holes. As a result, there is no way to tie anything into the back, and it makes the truck much less useful to me.

| What is it? | 10 Oct 2006 00:54 GMT | 4 |
The speedo went out on my truck*. It seems to be a broken cable problem and not a big deal. It seems that the cable is a 2 part system with an unusual connector in between the 2 cables. It looks like it is some sort of sensor for the cruise control. Long story short, the ...

I am replacing the inner and outer tie rods on my 1999 E350. I assembled all 4 pieces and attached the left inner to the pitman arm. My problem is now I can't get the outers to go throught the steering knuckle far enough to attach the nut and tighten the rod fully.
