2002 Ford Explorer Problem.13 Oct 2006 09:38 GMT4
I purchased my explorer over 2 years ago when it had 70k miles.  It was
a salesman's truck that drove up and down the highway everyday.  When I
got it , it occasionally shuddered when it shifted and more infrequently
then that was that it slipped when shifting.  These problems ...
Using 4X413 Oct 2006 05:30 GMT7
When I am on gravel roads I usually don't use the 4x4 until I think I
need it.  I was travelling with another truck this weekend on some roads
that went ranged from flattish gravel to fairly steep and rocky.  I was
still able to get up most of the hills in 2WD but a friend was ...

OOH my aching gears!12 Oct 2006 07:07 GMT2
I'm helping someone learn to drive a stick. They caught on pretty quick, but
not without a couple gear grinds. Maybe one or twice a year, I'll miss a
shift when in a hurry. I wonder if I should if I should check the pan for
metal filings and change the trans oil before regular ...
hood latch11 Oct 2006 23:32 GMT3
The other day I could not get the hood to open from the inside hood
release on my '99 F-150. I hit a small bump today and that caused the
hood to open. However, when I try and close the hood, it hood will not
close all the way. The latch does not seem to be catching and locking

5.8L FI PCV grommet and elbow11 Oct 2006 01:53 GMT1
My 96 F350 prime mover has been spitting and bucking, or just plain
being gutless when cold the past couple days.  The rotor and cap needed
replacing, so I did that, suspecting crossfire.  Didn't do the trick at all.
I got a chance to look it over again today and found that ...
How to determine engine size10 Oct 2006 17:09 GMT3
My son just bought a 73' f-250 with a rebuilt in it. I'm a chevy guy, so I
can't just glance at the motor and know the block type. How can I tell what
it is?
Bedliner in 1996 Ranger: Should I Remove?10 Oct 2006 17:06 GMT6
A few years ago I bought a 1996 Ranger with a black plastic bedliner
that covers up all the hooks and holes.  As a result, there is no way
to tie anything into the back, and it makes the truck much less useful
to me.

Broken manifold bolts 460"10 Oct 2006 06:03 GMT2
So, I think I'm ready to pull my trailer, and I hear an exhaust leak........
Look underneath and one bolt is broken, passenger's side, rear bolt. I ask
around, and I'm told this is a common problem with injected 460's...Correct?
I'm also told that these bots are stainless, high ...
What is it?10 Oct 2006 00:54 GMT4
The speedo went out on my truck*. It seems to be a broken cable problem
and not a big deal. It seems that the cable is a 2 part system with an
unusual connector in between the 2 cables. It looks like it is some sort
of sensor for the cruise control. Long story short, the ...

can't get new tie rod ends into fitting on '99 E35009 Oct 2006 00:49 GMT4
I am replacing the inner and outer tie rods on my 1999 E350.
I assembled all 4 pieces and attached the left inner to the pitman arm.
My problem is now I can't get the outers to go throught the steering
knuckle far enough to attach the nut and tighten the rod fully.
