I have a '92 Ranger that I basically use to haul mulch, dirt, gravel, and junk. A full load of dirt makes it dangerous to drive and I would like to add a leaf in the back to improve hauling. I'm wondering at the difficulty and if I need any special tools. OR are there any simpler ...

The vehicle: a 1999 F-250 XLT I'm looking to find out how to replace the door windows in the truck. A very dark tint was applied years ago and it looks like the film will be a difficult removal. I think replacement may be the best option.

| Explorer questions | 29 Nov 2006 14:11 GMT | 1 |
My son just got a 2002 Explorer. He took it to the Ford dealer to have the transmission fluid and filter changed. They told him the filter is buried inside the transmission and can't be changed without disassembling the transmission, but would be glad to sell him a $120

| Shocks: any gotchas? | 28 Nov 2006 15:44 GMT | 27 |
I am prioritizing the repairs needed by my "new" 1996 F150 (75k miles). The brakes and radial arm bushings are probably next. Those are _not_ on my DIY list. A relatively large dollar item on the estimate is shocks, and (please

I have a '97 Ranger (2.3L / 2WD) and the airbag light comes on intermittently. I recently replaced the turn signal/wiper switch module because the left turn signal would only work intermittently, and I hoped that I might just find a loose wire causing the air bag issue when I hade

| Growling F250 | 27 Nov 2006 00:00 GMT | 4 |
I *thought* I heard a slight growl when starting from a stop in my f250, and it went away when it shifted to 2nd (E04). HOwever, when I hooked up my heavy Travel trailer and used the weight transfer bars, it was very noticeable. It may be that it didn't quit after

Hi all. A coworker of mine drives a 2004 F-150 4x4. This weekend, he was able to go in reverse but the whole drivetrain locked up when it was put in drive--no forward motion at all. The dealer is claiming that both the transmission and transfer case are shot, and saying it'll
