How to tough to replace headliner in Ranger?23 Dec 2006 14:44 GMT7
My '92 Ranger once had a leak and mold grew in the headliner, it needs
replacing. I see kits on JC Whitney that vary in price from $40-150. I
don't want to spend much on the old truck, are the cheap kits easy enough
for a novice?

I'm thinking about swapping my original 5.8 (351) for a 5.4 Triton in
my 1978 F-150. What are my chances?

Uh-Oh ?21 Dec 2006 11:15 GMT4
I just purchased a 1998 F-150.  I've been driving it around...nothing
special...for two days now.  I was filling it up with some gas, and
tried starting it...
It cranked over fine...the new battery had plenty of juice...
Fan clutch tools20 Dec 2006 18:32 GMT18
I am chasing a squeak/squeal noise that my gut tells me is coming from
the fan clutch, but others correctly point out could be from the belt,
water pump or tensioner pulley.
Dressing the belt did not fix it.  Not being able to isolate it, but
223 and 300 exhaust manifold18 Dec 2006 00:25 GMT1
Does anyone know if these are interchangeable? I have a 223 (1962) but
could get a manifold from the 300 (1964) - will the 300 work on the 223?
Thanks ...
Abient Temperature Sensor not accurate on 2002 F15017 Dec 2006 18:43 GMT4
I purchased my F150 new in late '01 and it has the compass and ambient
temperature reading in the console between the visors.  The temperature
reading was always quite accurate until a few months ago when I noticed
that it started reading about 10 degrees higher than the actual temp ...
1997 F140 4.6L Overheating Problem17 Dec 2006 13:06 GMT2
My 1997 F150 is overheating.
This summer I changed my coolant (I hadn't done it in quite a while) The
coolant appeared to be quite rusty and it took several flushes to get it to
look normal.

starter on it - can someone please tell me where it is located? It is a
1990 V6 4.0 engine...Thanks!
How to shop for tires?16 Dec 2006 19:48 GMT10
I'm the fairly new owner of a 1997 Ford Econoline 150 aftermarket
conversion van (as of March 2006). It's actually my first vehicle, so
I'm not too experienced on the subject of tire buying yet.
When I bought it, it needed two new tires so I went with what I could
Duraspark II16 Dec 2006 16:26 GMT6
My '81 300/6 has this and I'm wondering what I can install to get a
hotter spark?  Except for the cap/rotor/plug wires the ignition system
is 25+yrs old now.  I've maintained this truck religiously and it's been
my daily driver since '81.  I know there are better ignition system

Astonishing Secrets Of The Biodiesel Maker In The World15 Dec 2006 16:10 GMT3
Oil companies are pulling in record profits and the government says
they can't do anything about it.
Hurricanes have knocked the oil refineries down and you can feel it at
the pump.
Overdrive Switch not working 95 F150 - How to safely remove air bag14 Dec 2006 19:28 GMT2
My 95 F150 has over 200000 miles on it and the bearings are shot in the
steering column and the overdrive switch does not work.  The switch
itself is good.  A mechanic friend told me there is probably a broken
wire in the steering column.  He recommended replacing the entire
92 EGR valve or sensor?14 Dec 2006 05:37 GMT2
Got my truck  92 f150 302 running and now is posting a 334 code. (EGR closed
voltage higher than expected) I replaced the EGR sensor last spring - don't
remember what the code was. Does this code mean it's the sensor or the
Valve? Thanks!
