89 ford ranger13 Dec 2006 23:51 GMT5
Sometimes after you start the engine the rear anti-lock light stays on,
dim...    When this happens the blinkers don't work, blower motor does't
work and the amp meter reads low,  but the truck runs fine.     The next
time you start up everything my be fine,  maybe for days.     I ...

I have a 94 F-150 that is experiencing some strange problems.   Half of
my electrical components are working and half are not.  What is even
stranger is that some components on the same fuse are working and other

2001 Ranger engine swap from V6 to V8...hybrids and Yugos pass me on Interstate at 92 mph12 Dec 2006 15:32 GMT14
This is my 8th Ranger over the years, I love them.... BUT Ford has the speed limiter set on it to 92 mph on this 2001 Edge extended cab....ridiculous for a 4.0 L SOHC angine with a 5 spd OD automatic transmission. It smokes the Michelins off the line, and  I get 55 in 1st gear, ...

powerpoint fuse location12 Dec 2006 00:34 GMT1
My powerpoint outlet quit working shortly after I purchased my F-250 in
2001.  I've been using my cigarette lighter instead.  Lately I've
wondered where the fuse for the powerpoint is so that I can see if that
is the problem.  Does anyone know where this fuse is located?  I've
Shocks done11 Dec 2006 22:59 GMT1
The shocks are done.  The top right and both bottom rear bolts were a
little rusted; they broke loose under reasonable effort, but were
clearly not happy being removed quickly.  Somebody here said to work the
nut back and forth adding some penetrating oil, and that worked well.
1997 Ranger-Dash lights11 Dec 2006 04:16 GMT2
Does anyone know the best approach to replacing dash lights on a '97
Ranger?  I'm not sure whether to start digging from the top side or
underside to begin to find them. Any help would be MUCH appreciated.
Thanx in advance.

96 F150, 5L, 5 speed manual, 2wheel drive. 2 piece driveshaft.
Rear shaft rear yoke unbolts from pinion ok, front yoke connects to

behind center/carrier bearing. Slip moves back and forth nicely but
89 Ford F-150 straight six Solenoid Switch11 Dec 2006 03:17 GMT6
I'm having problems with my battery draining after about 5 hours when
sitting. After checking the battery and alternator I narrowed it down
by disconnecting the wires on the solenoid switch noticing when I
disconnect a couple of them their is no voltage drain.
Running a diesel out / dual tanks11 Dec 2006 02:54 GMT10
I have never had a diesel with dual tanks before so am not sure how to
approach it.  With gas engine I have simply run one tank out and then
switched to the other.  How hard is it to start the 7.3once it has run out?
I know some diesels are buggers, while my VW would fire right ...

Suddenly, the gas gauge went crazy. Have dual tanks, front tank shows empty
and rear tank shows pegged on full side. What would cause both to go at
once??
