98' Mazda B4000 RWD 5spd HARD to shift into 1st from stop10 Dec 2006 00:12 GMT6
No grinding just hard to get into gear with clutch all the way down.
While at a stop, effort is less if you go from 2nd to 1st gear then let
out the clutch. My syncros ? Trans oil and rear diff oil have recently
been changed and there is no difference.
Torque-dearth is wussifying American workers08 Dec 2006 16:01 GMT22
I think Ford needs to come out with a V-10 diesel, outputting at least
950 ft/lbs of raw, asphalt-abrading, red white and blue torque. I feel
inadequate driving the current PowerStroke models. A construction
worker in a Komatsu dozer smirked at me last week and they're even
Remove rear speakers in '02 Ranger Super Cab08 Dec 2006 13:18 GMT1
Hey all. I'm having some problems removing the rear panels in a 2002
Ranger Super Cap. It looks like the whole panel just pops out. But
after a number of scrapes and cuts on my fingers I have not been able
to pull this out w/o damaging anything. Al I wanted to do was connect
Service Engine Light07 Dec 2006 20:27 GMT1
I have a 2002 F150 with a 4.2 and the service engine light is on. The code
is a vacuum leak, or so I was told. The place that used the scanner said
that it was most likely the intake gasket and bolts that it was a pretty
common problem on the 4.2's. Anyways they had cleared the ...
4X4 F150 Diesel Conversion-- any ideas ?06 Dec 2006 19:08 GMT2
Does anybody have any opinions about the 6-0 powerstroke going into a
4x4 150, or any other diesel conversion that you may know about.
I have been looking at the Cummins/Dodge combo, but I just saw a pretty
nice '79 F150 for sale w/ brand new tires, no rust, and a friendly
F250 shop manual06 Dec 2006 02:28 GMT3
I have been searching for a source for a F250 shop manual.  I perfer the
book version over the CD version.  My son has a F250 4wd deisel w/ crewcab.
He had purchased it used recently and I was going to give him the shop
manual for the vehicle for Christmas.  I have Googled for ...
2005 Screw intermittent steering wheel vibrations??05 Dec 2006 20:06 GMT2
2005 4x4 Screw with 55K on it that has an intermittent steering wheel
vibration from 65-75mph. Tires have been balanced, road force balance,
etc. Alignments perfect.  Happens about 60% of the time. Could this be
wheel bearings? Any ideas? Thanks.
Tips to Get More Gas Mileage & Better Performance!05 Dec 2006 18:59 GMT3
Hi, I added a reformulator to my oil crankcase and gas tank and got better Performance and an INCREASE in gas mileage. It works on just about any combustible engine. It works on cars, boats, generators etc. I even use it in my lawn mower, lol. This stuff works. I put 1 ounce per ...
Rough Idle help on 88 351 windsor05 Dec 2006 13:30 GMT1
Have this nice old truck and the idle is really inconsistent.  It will
bog, then over-rev trying to recover then hold idle for a few.  And then
repeat again...  Happens more when engaged in D, especially at a stop
sign or light.  I have sprayed around the intake gasket with carb
Code Scanners04 Dec 2006 14:53 GMT5
I've been having trouble with my 2002 F350 7.3 for over three months
now. The only info I've gotten is "water in the fuel" or "bad
injectors". I took it to a shop, but it ran fine for them, so I was
charged for putting it on their mechine, but was told there is nothing
2000 F150 compatible in dash changers04 Dec 2006 11:51 GMT2
I'm trying to find out what model Ford in-dash changers are compatible
with a 2000 F150.  The truck currently has a single disc in dash unit
that is original to the truck, but I want to replace it with a changer.
I've found several models, but can't find information for what models
High startup RPM-Adjustment?03 Dec 2006 13:09 GMT4
I have an '89 E-150 with a 351W EFI.
When I start it from cold, it revs fairly high for about 10 seconds, then
drops down to a reasonable speed.
Is there any way to set the starting RPM lower? I've only had it since
1987 f150 abs code #2??02 Dec 2006 18:59 GMT6
I found the RAB connector and grounded it and it gave me one fast flash
and one long code that = code #2.   In the manual it says to unconnect
the 2 ends of the RAB connector and ground out the orange/black stripe
to get antilock light to flash...only problem is my RAB connector was
How much should I expect to pay for a 1999 E350 Chateau?02 Dec 2006 10:55 GMT1
I may have a chance to buy a 1999 Ford E350 Chateau van. It is pretty much
loaded and only has ~ 30K or less. It's a V8 with most of the bells and
whistles, along with 4 captains chairs and a rear bench seat, making it a 7
passenger vehicle. It also has new Michelin tires on it ...
