My old  85 pickup   needs  to pass  a  New  York  State  emissions test next
week and I was wondering if there is any good gas additive which would help
it pass..... any suggestions would be appreciated..... the truck drives fine
but you know it's old and I guess just " passes too ...

I have a '96 F150, Centurion 4 doorfull cab. Last summer after I
replaced the carrier bearing, and noticed a slight vibration under my
a.s. I removed and replaced the driveshaft exactly the way it came
out. I also did the u-joints. It's not my daily driver, but I've about

thing so I tore the engine down to replace them. the problem is I have
to readjust the valves. and there is a special tool called a tappet
bleed down wrench  whitch is used to compress the hydraulic lifters so

My son has a 1994 Ranger and his check engine light comes on once in awhile.
Is there a connection for a coder reader? I have a 96 vehicle (a different
brand of truck, I won't mention here... lol) I use the reader on, and know
very little about his truck.

I have a 86 6.9, the injection pump broke the arm off the right
side of itself ( i believe its the advance arm)
Is this a common problem? also, is it somthing i can repair without
rebuilding the whole pump?

It's been very cold the last two days and yesterday morning when I
starting the truck, the engining made a clanging sound and eventually

I have just purchased 2 factory front heavy duty shocks for the truck, and
was wondering for a little step by step help.  For the bottom bolt, do I
turn the bolt head to loosen off or do I turn the large nut and keep bolt
head from turning?

   How tough is it to replace the steering box on a '95 F-250 PSD 4x4
w/power steering?  Ford wants $500 parts & labor.  I found a box (rebuilt)
for $159... problem is I don't have a garage, and it's like 20 degrees
outside...  How long should it take to remove and replace?  Any ...

The electro-hydraulic brake proportioning valve on my 1992 Ford Ranger leaks
at what looks like a vent hole on the plug? at the rear of the valve.
Does this valve have o-rings or parts that can be replaced or should I just
replace the valve?

On My 2002 Mountaineer AWD: During moderately sharp turns in parking
lots the inside rear tire spins and when backing up and turning sharp
it feels as if the brakes are on. I have had all the bearings in the
rear end changed (by an independent shop) and the problem is is still
